Trump is right about January 6 events and election fraud. Pence is turning a blind to the facts.
But Pence is right about his lacking Constitutional authority to block the steal. That was the unfulfilled duty of the courts.
The state legislatures should have acted first.

Pence is as relevant to a political discussion as is Dan Quayle. Just another asterisk in American Political History.

While it was unrealistic for people to expect him to overturn the election Pence made no effort to highlight the myriad voting “irregularities” that severely eroded people’s confidence in our elections. There were problems and he largely ignored them, along with their implications for future elections. He had a brief (and historic) “bully pulpit” opportunity to encourage the country to clean up the system. His refusal to do so was simply inexcusable. The moment arrived and he walked away from it.
That is the indictment against Pence on this. You can argue all day about whether he could do anything constitutionally to change the outcome, but you cannot argue that there was anything but cowardice stopping him from speaking on the matter.

When Pence knows that law enforcement resources were deliberately withheld, he is irresponsible in going down this path.
Jan 6 would never have happened if the government did not want it to happen.

Why lump Dan Quayle in with Mike Pants? Dan Quayle was not a backstabbing punk ass b*tch like Pants. I would take Dan Quayle over Pants in less than a heartbeat.

Pence caved when liberals bowed up at him while governor of Indiana over some slightly conservative legislation. Pence couldn’t run away from his support of the legislation fast enough.
It was a mistake for candidate Trump to select him as running mate.
To elect Trump, we had to pretend what happened didn’t happen, or didn’t matter. So here we are.
