California Governor Gavin Newsom belatedly asked President Joe Biden for a federal disaster declaration on Thursday — two weeks after the storm arrived and several days after the snow had already stopped falling.
Newsom’s request was the latest delay in responding to storms that have killed at least a dozen people in mountain communities. He declared a state of emergency for 13 counties a week after the storm arrived.
Following that declaration last Wednesday, Newsom left the country for a personal trip in Baja California — an apparent vacation — while thousands remained trapped in their homes, short of food, fuel and medicine.

I remember just a year or so ago when the old windbag, Gruesome Newsom, was bragging that Cauliphonya had a 40 billion dollar surplus. What the hell did he blow it all on?
Is newsome asking for global warming?
There’s a whole more precipitation coming to northern california.
It looks like it may come as rain in mountains—if it does it will set off a 100 year flood as the rain will melt 10-15 feet of snow already up in the mountains. That’s not a light rain. Its bringing 5-10 inches of rain. In some places even more.
Too bad not much of that precipitation will get into the great basin. But some will get to Utah and colorado. That precipitation will push up their snowpack toward levels not seen since 1982.
Besides the blizzards, Califonicator land could have 10 rivers flooding soon.

ARCADIA, CA-JANUARY 20, 2023:Water is released at 15 cubic feet per second from the Santa Anita Dam. 600,000 cubic yards of muck more than 80 feet deep have collected in the reservoir behind the 96 year old dam. Because of this, the water is unable to be impounded there and is instead being allowed to flow out and conveyed through the flood control infrastructure to spreading grounds further away. With back-to-back storms to hit California in the coming days, state officials are scrambling to make strategic releases from key reservoirs in hopes of preventing a repeat of the flooding that killed nearly two dozen people in January.
At least 10 rivers are forecast to overflow from the incoming “Pineapple Express” storm, which is expected to drop warm, heavy, snow-melting rain as it moves from the Central Coast toward the southern Sierra beginning Thursday night into Saturday.

It hasn't snowed this much in a long time but, it does happen.
Apparently roads are still closed in some areas? Why? Does no one know how to clear snow, or use a snow plow?
Perhaps Newsolini should call Alaska for tips on how to deal with it? Or call someone on the east coast?
It seems like the closed roads are causing the problems and trapping the people. They can't figure out how to get to them?
And where has the money gone that is supposed to be for helping in this situation?
🤔

Sounds like Cauliphonya better start handing out “water wings” and umbrellas to their illegal alien RAT voters.

Most of our illegals from south of our border have zero knowledge re how to survive during heavy/out of control flooding.
Most of our liberals, who drive have zero knowledge re how to survive during flooding while driving.
Last but not least, a large % of so called homeless camp out along our non flooded rivers. They are lucky to survive when walls of flooding water come down stream.
If your area or population group is no good for ballot printing, under the bus you go.
The "tell" for them having the vote rigged to the point where the senior vote is mostly manufactured will be our Owners in The Swamp reducing Social Security and Medicare.
As long as he is requesting aid, well after the fact of the disaster, perhaps he should make application for aid in the wake of the San Francisco earthquake as well.
