The portion of debt held by the American public would jump $19 trillion, to $43.6 trillion, over the 10 years.So it would really increase by at least $38 trillion. These projections are always off by a factor of two.
Does anyone else have zero confidence that Republicans in the House will stop this?

The author's numbers are a little off. According to Trading Economics, the US debt-to-GDP ratio is currently at 129%.

Of all the countries in world, the mighty United States has the 12th worst debt-GDP ratio.

Japan: 262%
Venezuela: 241%
US: 129%

Russia: 18%
