It would make it easier for dems and RINOs to get votes for pork projects. “Don’t worry. Our budget shows that the rich would pay for cleaning up the dead whales that somehow died near our offshore wind turbines.”

Highest Capital Gains Tax Since 1978. A rate over twice as high as China’s capital gains tax rate. Biden’s plan nearly doubles the capital gains tax rate for investment to 39.6% from 20%.

Then, as an added bonus, more and more of the capital gain is fictional caused by Biden's huge currency devaluation known as inflation. Government steals half the value of the currency and then taxes you when your property "goes up" in value.

With the doubling in capital gains taxes and quadrupling of the stock buy back tax, it looks like dividends will come back in style.

Decades and decades of this and they still don’t get it.

Tax policy debate is an effort by the Swamp to change the subject away from its drainage to something worshipped by the GOPe.

Taxes as a % of GDP have changed almost not at all over decades upon decades no matter what party is in power. They are best ignored.

Concentrate on eliminating incumbents.

Any of this will remove any likelihood of a market recovery for as far as the eye can see.

Simply devastating. Back to the 60s and 70s when nobody made any money.

Simply insane.

Changing the corporate tax from 21% to 28% would be a jobs killer, because companies would simply seek someplace in Europe to call home instead of the U.S. Fewer jobs would be very bad.

Since revenue bills must original in the house, this should be dead on arrival.

Folks, everyone of those tax hikes would impact you and your family. Hate to repeat but corporations don’t pay taxes, it’s basically passed to their customers as a cost of doing business. Watch prices increase on the working person.

Yep. All those taxes trickle down to the American consumer.

It will affect everything we purchase.

personally?

they ALL will!

Businesses pay NO taxes, as anything that costs them money is reflected in the price of the things they produce.

If fuel goes up, and we pay more for product.

Raw material goes up, and we pay more for product.

Workers wages increase, same thing.

And when gummint takes more money from them, bingo - THE PRICES GO UP!!!

Changing the corporate tax from 21% to 28% would be a jobs killer,

Every one of these taxes is a job killer, except for federal jobs. What a disaster. And a tax on non-realized gains in your portfolio? Way to tank the market. If they tax you for non-realized gains on an investment on date X and the thing tanks the next day, do you get your money back?

This is just crazy. Fortunately the congress scum are corrupt enough and smart enough to see that this proposal would seriously ding their access to their ill-gotten insider trading millions. I doubt even the newly minted millionaire AOC will vote for this.
