BERLIN (AP) — Women in Berlin will soon be allowed to go topless at the city’s public swimming pools, like men, the Berlin state government said Thursday.
The new bathing rules allowing everyone to go swimming without covering their torsos followed a discrimination complaint by a woman who was not allowed to go topless in a swimming pool in the capital.
The woman, whose identity was not revealed, had turned to the senate’s ombudsperson’s office for equal treatment to demand that women, like men, can swim topless, the Berlin senate for justice, diversity and anti-discrimination said in a written statement.
In reaction to the complaint and the ombudsman’s involvement in the case, the Berliner Baederbetriebe, which runs the city’s public pools, decided to change its clothing rules, the statement said.
“The ombudsperson’s office very much welcomes the decision of the Baederbetriebe, because it establishes equal rights for all Berliners, whether male, female or non-binary, and because it also creates legal certainty for the staff at the Baederbetriebe,” said Doris Liebscher, the head of the ombudsperson’s office.

I disagree.
The muslims will come to those pools to see the topless women. They will abuse them. The state will not intervene with muslims as they would with germans.
(I’ve already read stories about this at public swimming pools in germany—that were not topless.
Wrong. Bikini bottoms are unisex in Euro land. They now don’t have to make the tops anymore.

Heh, when I was in the Navy back in the Seventies, we made a port of call in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Mallorca is a big European tourist destination, and the island is divided roughly into four parts...
The English go to one part, the Scandinavians go to another, the Germans to a different one, and I think the Spanish to the last one.
It was the first place I went to that had topless sunbathers, and as you can imagine a bunch of sailors from an American aircraft carrier thought that was just dandy!
Funny, years later I was looking at some pictures I had taken, and in the background there were two young women bathing topless, and some guy sitting next to them talking to them, and they were doing the classic “ignore this guy and maybe he will go away...” He did look intoxicated...:)
My wife and I went there on our honeymoon, and stayed in the Scandinavian section. We went down to the rocks near the hotel to lay in the sun, and I wasn’t wearing my glasses for some reason (and am blind as a bat without them)
As we approached, I realized almost all the women were topless...and me without my glasses! My wife? Well, when in Mallorca...
We did go back there for our 10th anniversary and stayed in a villa we rented. That was simply fantastic!
