Back in the early days of the war I recall the footage of all of the dead Ukraine civilians dead in the street. Oddly they were all face down with their heads facing away from the camera.
The US gave Russia a huge present in 1996. Russia was given MFN status (Most Favored Nation), waiving most tariffs. China didn’t get that till 2001.
This gave them free access to the US market. But Russia, unlike China, made little use of it. It should have been a route to economic “Tiger” status.

Both sides have soldiers who behaving ‘unethically’. I’m just stating facts. I have a solution, how about Zelensky go to the negotiating table with a Putin. I know Zelensky wrote a law stating it was illegal to do so. But, he can rip it up and be a big boy and do what needs to be done so that more of his soldiers aren’t killed. It’s Hard for me to have any other opinion on the matter until he does this.

Have no idea in validity of video or claims around them but your comment about humane treatment by Russians I have not seen what I do recall seeing is the video of the captured commander who was released looking like a POW from a Japanese prison camp in WW2. Additionally there is evidence of Russians shooting their own for disobedience or not sharing vodka who knows. If they will kill their own not much of a leap to kill Ukrainian POW
