A Massachusetts man is facing charges after he allegedly tried to open an emergency exit door while aboard a United Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Boston and then allegedly attempted to stab a flight attendant in the neck...
Francisco Severo Torres, 33, was charged with one count of interference and attempted interference with flight crew members and attendants using a dangerous weapon following the incident, which took place on Sunday.
According to court documents, about 45 minutes before United flight 2609 landed in Boston, the flight crew received an alarm in the cockpit that a starboard side door located between the first class and coach sections of the aircraft was disarmed.
A flight attendant found that the Boeing 757's door's locking handle had been moved out of the fully locked position and that the emergency slide arming lever had been moved to the "disarmed" position, according to documents.
The flight attendant reported this to the captain and flight crew after securing the door and emergency slide.
Another flight attendant reported that he saw Torres near the door and believed Torres had tampered with the door. When confronted about the door, Torres asked if any cameras showed him tampering with the door. The flight attendant then notified the captain that they believed Torres posed a threat to the aircraft and that the captain needed to land the aircraft as soon as possible, according to court documents.
Shortly thereafter, investigators said Torres got out of his seat and approached two flight attendants, one of which reported seeing Torres mouth something they could not hear. Torres then allegedly thrust one of the flight attendants in a stabbing motion with a broken metal spoon, hitting the flight attendant on the neck area three times, the documents say.

I was told that they’re called DB Cooper doors and designed to not open due to outside pressure pushing in.
Illegal aliens get to fly ....
Those doors we’re talking about were never able to be opened while the plane was pressurized.
DB Cooper’s plane was an early 727 that had a rear staircase.
Without going into mind numbing technicalities .. the rear stair area could be depressurized.
There is more to it but I don’t wish to write an operators manual.😏
First plane I operated after my hiring with a commercial carrier was a 727.

It's on video, and we can notice that two men, then one woman, then a larger guy with a gray hoodie followed him. The gray hoodie guy looked like he restrained him. People aren't going to sit around any longer when kooks threaten the flight crew.
