Court documents the Investigative Unit obtained show Shannon O’Connor was assaulted in her Elmwood Correctional Facility dorm room in October while awaiting trial.
Five women have been charged with assaulting Shannon O’Connor at Elmwood Correctional Facility in Milpitas, the Investigative Unit has learned through court records.
O’Connor is currently in custody awaiting trial. She faces 39 charges related to a separate case where she is the defendant. She is accused of hosting multiple alcohol-fueled parties and gatherings for her high school son and friend two years ago.
The court documents relating to the assault show O’Connor was attacked in her dorm room in the facility on October 24, 2022. According to a statement of facts, which show what deputies say happened, five other female inmates used their hands and feet while attacking O’Connor “for approximately 16 seconds until deputies entered the dorm room.” The document shows O’Connor did not fight back. It did not provide a motive for the attack.
O’Connor was sent to the hospital where she was treated and released back to Elmwood.
NBC Bay Area has reached out to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office and the accused attackers’ attorney but have not heard back.
In O’Connor’s separate case, she pleaded not guilty to 39 charges that include child endangerment, providing alcohol to minors and sexual battery. The sexual battery charge relates to accusations there was non-consensual sexual activity between two minors at one of the gatherings.
O’Connor’s preliminary hearing for that case is scheduled for Monday.

So, in brief, she’s a good mom being railroaded.🤪
In a different place long ago and far away Mom would have been a hero.

Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful.
At least convicts aren’t tolerating the child predators of the democrat party.
The efforts to curb everyone’s behavior to the left’s liking began when they were allowed to tax cigarettes into oblivion. Then, it was seat belts/motorcycle helmets, and the left felt that they could run roughshod over everyones’ rights. I’m not condoning the sexual assault, and she should have kept a better watch over this party, but 39 charges? They’re really intent on making an example out of her.
I remember that one set of parents, on prom night when I was growing up, opened their house to a dozen or so guys and their dates. We drank, and fooled around, but nobody had sex, nor did anyone get in trouble. The cops did come for a noise complaint, and when they figured out what was going on, they asked us nicely to hold it down, and congratulated all of us. Every one of us turned out to be a tax-paying, productive member of society, whereas today, drinking tickets would have been issued to all, making it impossible to get certain jobs, or into certain colleges.
Ethanol-fueled parties?
“Awaiting trial”
Sorry, I believe in our Constitution’s presumption of innocence.
No motive + no names, pictures or description of the attackers = Pat, I’d like to solve the puzzle.
Her problem was that she wasn't able to avoid.
Forty years ago, parties like this happened. Everything is politicized, or criminalized, or both, these days
She wouldn’t be where she is if she hadn’t done what she did. All of this is her own doing.
I had no idea there was a women's "correctional facility" in Milpitas!
I always thought "correctional" was a nice euphemism. It reminds me of Captain in Cool Hand Luke saying how he was going to "correct" you:
"You run one time, you got yourself a set of chains. You run twice, you got yourself two sets. You ain't gonna need no third set 'cause you're gonna get your mind right. And I mean RIGHT."
I read the article. The kids were like 14 and getting drunk and vomiting. She was apparently engaged in sex with the boys and was encouraging hetero and homo sexual rape or close to that. They probably wouldn’t have charged her if it wasn’t bad. I don’t think she would have been charged for turning a blind eye to a party with some drinking.
Presumably, being accused of crimes against children doesn’t go over well womens prison as well as mens prison.
Corrupting youth. Socrates she aint.
Most of the women in her prison likely have remorse and regret over the bad choices they made which put them in prison. Many are likely resentful of the corruption which led them to make choices which resulted in their incarceration.
She’s a corrupt predator. No sympathy for her.
Hope nobody is cheering on prison assaults.
