Haley is spot on. The whole point of having a representative government requires competency on the part of the elected official. When age and illness remove the ability to competently perform the responsibilities of the office, it is time to bow out and elect a replacement who can perform the duties competently.

I think everyone is missing what her role is.

She's the gun moll keeping Joe on life support, keeping him in power.

His power is likely the only thing keeping the entire family, including Jill, out of prison.

She's not there for Joe, she's there to protect herself and the family from prosecution, always has been.
