So, you had to run out to US95, then south to US6 and cut back west before you could make it back up US395 to Mammoth?

Aye. 395 was closed. Its been closed from Lee Vining to Walker since Monday I think. I tried to sneak over on the road from Hawthorne to Lee Vining but that turned to deep snow at the CA border. Somebody had attempted it shortly before me and got stuck, so I helped pull him out and we both turned back. So, bishop it was. Just out of curiosity, I drove to Lee Vining from Mammoth to see it because I was wondering why it was such a big deal, and was just amazed how much snow they had to move per mile to partially clear the road. It was amazing
