Trump’s Futuristic “Quantum Leap” Plan Captivates … and Raises Questions
New American ^ | March 4, 2023 | Luis Miguel

Through both his private-sector career and his time in politics, Donald Trump has earned a reputation for thinking big (or “big league”).

While not all of The Donald’s visionary ideas have come to pass, the 45th president doesn’t let that deter him from continuing to push the envelope, taking things with an “aim for the moon so you land among the stars” attitude.

With the 2024 election amping up and a likely primary challenge from popular Republican Governor Ron DeSantis on the horizon, Trump finds himself faced with the need to draft a platform that will not only distinguish him within the GOP field, but also provide general-election voters a reason to give him another shot in the White House over Joe Biden.

To that end, Trump’s “Quantum Leap” proposal is certainly heavy on the kind of bold ideas he’s known for, with plenty of imagery to capture the public’s imagination — even while it raises many questions about the constitutionality and viability of such a plan.

In his announcement of the plan, Trump said it would include building futuristic cities, known as “Freedom Cities,” on federal land; equipping these cities with air mobility via vertical-takeoff-and-landing vehicles; revitalizing American industry by cutting off Chinese imports; encouraging families by offering “baby bonuses”; and leading a nationwide beautification campaign.

The aspect of this plan gaining the most attention is the part about futuristic cities and flying cars. While there’s arguably a lot that could potentially be beneficial about such developments, this is an area where details would have to be provided in depth to determine whether it would be as good an idea in reality as Trump wants us to think it is on paper.

After all, one could question whether the federal government should be building cities at all.

Freedom cities? Actually sounds more like a rebrand of the WEF's smart city plan and how they want to turn the US into China with locked down labor.

As a general statement -- I think that for most young people, the American Dream is dead.

Get a good job at a Big Company and stay there for life, rising up through the ranks? Not happening.
Buy a cheap starter home in a good suburb when you're young? Not happening.
Date some eligible people, find a life partner and settle down to raise a family? Not happening.

Trump's Quantum Leap may not be the sort of vehicle that solves the problem -- but young people understand that they've been handed a shit deal. Something BIG has to come along that provides real opportunity for people to live the life that they want. The current path of the 21st century is NOT that path.

What a poser you are. Trump loves this country and is the only candidate who pushes people to make this country great again. And you and your insider club of lifer establishment politicians do nothing but mock and stab Trump in the back. Just like the media, Hollywood, corrupt politicos in both parties, the Feds, et al...

This sounds exactly what Scott Adams said of President Trump back in 2016. Presdident Trump will come off with bold and grandiose plans and ideas, and eventually walk it back to something sensible. But what it does, it gets people talking about the idea - the pros and cons, the feasability and such. That is how he controls the conversation.

Why do you only ever post personal attacks? Are you for the WEF smart city model or not? Zuckerberg is already building one in California, if you need an example to review.

What Trump should do right now is sit down with DeSantis and cut a deal. Trump-DeSantis in 2024, then eight years of DeSantis with Trump’s full endorsement and fundraising behind him.

But he won’t because unlike utopian mega-city plans, it actually makes sense and could help him get elected.

That is how he controls the conversation.

You're exactly right. State a proposal that starts out as way more than you actually want, and then work to a middle ground that you and the other negotiator can both live with. It's called "The Art of the Deal," That's what he has always done, he literally wrote the book. I can't understand some of the knee-jerk reactions on this thread.

Exactly. America has many problems, but one of them isn’t that we lack enough cities.

Trump is a master at promoting his brand for almost nothing. Trump may use hyperbole on a tooic, the media talks about him 24/7, and he hasn’t spent a dime

The other thing, he never gives up. Does anyone know anyone who would, or could, have gone through the xhit he’s been through some 2015?

Why do you only ever post personal attacks?

You launch personal attacks on Trump every single day many times a day. Now, you're repeating yourself posting your same bilge. Your constant attacks on Trump are personal attacks on every Trump supporter. Stop whining when it comes back on you. If you don't want to be seen as an idiot, stop acting like an idiot. Troll.

No, they're not. They're well documented criticisms that any honest conservative could have. That's why you never dispute the facts, all you do is name call. I've challenged you countless times to debate on the merits and all you ever do is fire off a few more insults then disappear.

So, let's hear your argument in favor of these WEF-like cities. Do you want the government to build them, or select billionaires? Besos-burg sound like somewhere you want to live?
