LOL After almost 8 months of assault, it's not a rout. The Ukrainians don't even have their best troops there, mainly Border Guard and territorial defense units. They have blown bridges to prevent a quick Russian advance and will withdraw to pre-pared defenses a few kilometers behind.

And then Russia will have to do the same thing to gain a few more kilometers. Meanwhile, the Ukrainians are husbanding their armor and best forces for a spring offensive.
