In a great reverse Black migration, Brookings data says four of the top five states for Black population gains since 2010 are Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida. Black people are driving U-Hauls to Texas, Georgia and Florida despite voter restrictions. A new Republican majority on North Carolina’s supreme court is reconsidering redistricting and voting restrictions ruled illegal by the court’s prior Democratic majority. Florida banned an Advanced Placement African American studies course. Texas and Florida are ending diversity, equity and inclusion in state agencies, and limiting the teaching of race in schools.
Some observers, such New York Times columnist Charles Blow, cheer the migration in hopes that it alters red Southern politics to purple. That is a reason to believe that can happen, with Georgia voting a Democrat into the White House in 2020 for the first time in nearly 30 years and sending its first Black and Jewish senators to Congress. North Carolina voted for Democrat Barack Obama in 2008. Florida voted both times for Obama.
But fixating solely on that lets Democrats off the hook for not protecting, as they say in basketball, home court. The willingness of Black people to live in the crosshairs of conservative politics says a lot about what they fled in the so-called liberal North and West Coast.

Seems a fair opening to a story. Where “voter restrictions” = 1) Must be alive, 2) Vote only once, 3) Be a US citizen

What restrictions? Trying to hold it to one vote per person? Actually having to prove you are eligible? Those restrictions? The author certainly has a low opinion of blacks.
The author can relax.
The Democratic machines will make sure “every vote counts” in their old states even after the black folks have left.
Refusing to clean up the voter rolls is an integral part of the Democratic game plan.
As with everything, the reasons are racism, global warming, and Russia.
And the only solutions are lax elections, more grooming, and less freedom.

They already overcame that big “restriction”. They have an ID. One that allows them to drive for that matter. They’s them special privileged type of people.
Exactly! Because of “the Hell” in Blue States is the result of Blue policies.

Right. I would wait til I get me my money, then move to where I can enjoy it.
Now if only more Blacks would LEARN from the failures of the Blue states and STOP voting for Democrats.
Nothing new. Decent , rational black people have been leaving Northern blue states and going south for about forty years. They know exactly where to go and avoid cities.
If they're driving then they have photo ID. There are NO VOTER RESTRICTIONS, but yet Yahoo has to repeat that tired old lie that blacks are incapable of getting photo ID.
If U-haul doesn't ask for ID to rent one of its trucks or trailers why should an ID be necessary to vote?
How about their fleeing crime, murders, mayhem, riots and looting.
Maybe those blacks fleeing blue states and their lefty policies are looking for a far better place to raise their families. Same reason Whites flee.

The blue states have killed/are killing the golden goose.
There’s a good reason.
More and more people are coming to the recognition that the democrats are the source of slavery, segregation, discrimination, bigotry, division, poverty and class warfare. They recognize bull connor standing in the schoolhouse door. Blue states are the same today as they were in antebellum times. Slave states. They have read history and discarded the stupid childrens tale about the southern strategy. The smart ones are unwilling to present themselves again to slavery of any kind.
That’s what i hope anyway. Hopefully they’re not exporting ignorance and criminality to the red states.
And here I thought they had a hard time getting drivers licenses.
