Bakhmut May Fall Amid Possible Ukraine Retreat
Newsweek ^ | 3/3/23 | Isabel van Brugen

The war-ravaged eastern city of Bakhmut may fall to Russian forces, with Kyiv officials saying its military is contemplating pulling troops back from the city that has become a symbol of Ukrainian resistance.

Alexander Rodnyansky, an economic adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, told CNN that Kyiv's military is "obviously going to weigh all of the options." "So far, they've held the city, but if need be, they will strategically pull back," he said.

Bakhmut has been one of the most intense fighting spots in the war ever since the conflict began just over a year ago. Clashes have been increasing in ferocity more recently between Russian and Ukrainian forces around the industrial city. Zelensky has vowed to protect Bakhmut, saying it's important to hold on to the city, but not at any cost.

The city, located in Ukraine's Donetsk region, has become an important symbol of resistance. "Bakhmut holds!" has become a national battle cry for Ukrainian soldiers, their supporters, and even Zelensky.

For Russia, the city, if captured, would serve as a stepping stone toward its goal of capturing the entire Donbas region—one of Russian President Vladimir Putin's stated war aims when he launched his invasion last February.

Several developments in the city over recent days indicate it could eventually fall to Russian forces.

Will there be another video of Mr. Z in high heels grabbing crotches and asses? That video really got the Ukraine patriots out to fight and die for Nazi perversion in Ukraine. Mr Z in high heels with American billions...

Sadly its the US who are barbarians here. After all it is us that set up the 42 bioweapons labs in Ukraine.

All this after sponsoring the color revolution there. Sadly Samantha Power is looking to do the same thing in Hungary. She even admits as much: https://rumble.com/v29a3te-usaid-in-hungary.html

The only reason I can think of for stripping of markings would be to deceive the public, perhaps planning the execution of a false flag operation.

7-1 ratio. That’s why Ukraine sent reinforcements to Bakhmut instead of retreating.

Hopefully the Ukies will leave behind lots of mines and boobytraps for the barbarians.

And plenty of Stinger missiles that can be "returned" to the US by the same International Arms trading that got them to Ukraine?

Be careful what you wish for, YOU may get it.

This is the level of propaganda, misdirection and sheer stupidity Americans are subjected to now by our deep-state/corporate media.

On these threads, you can tell who is mainlining the Western Media...

Weapons and other stuff Biden left in Afghanistan may be returned to America as well.

It just may not be returned in the hands of people whom agree with YOU, OR want to see YOU remain alive and healthy.

I wonder how Russians will stand up to years of guerrilla warfare.

Simple—1. Don’t take all of Ukraine. 2. Only take parts that have large Russian populations. 3. Drive all Ukrainians out across river to place where the Ukrainians live 4. Welcome new settlers from Russia (or North Korea) to come and re-build—lots of jobs, factories re-0pening resorts. 5. Bring in lots of FSB agents and put rewards out for “Terrorists.” 6. This is the hard part—winning the hearts and minds of the New Russian Citizens so they will not support the Guerrillas. Not a small task but it can be done.

Bachmut has been grinding up troops on both sides but Ukraine is losing the battle. They reinforced the area several times and blew up the dam. That hasn't stopped the Russian advance. Videos of Ukrainian soldiers near the front shows how desperate they are. They are fighting with little ammunition and little support. A few called the situation a shit show. It sounded like they knew they were being sacrificed. That is a shame if true.

Had enough is saying Died enough. Which ever side dies the most. I don’t see cheering for either side. This is not a sporting event.

It’s strange that after 100 billion dollars of our money they didn’t get any bullets. But Zelinsky I’m sure is having plenty of state dinners and cocktail receptions trying to raise more funds. He has hosted several of the highest ranking American officials ever to visit foreign countries. Even our President and Treasury secretary went to see Zelinsky in person. He is definitely an A-list celebrity. They are stumbling all over themselves and each other trying to give him money. But no bullets? Gun control and wars are incompatible.

Nazi state with a Jewish president.

You people are beyond parody. I dont know how we can credibly criticize the left for their stupidity, when we let people with names like “Vlad0” post Russian propaganda.

It’s like the whole world has become stupid over the last 20 years.
