It was worse than a catfight.
A New Jersey woman’s fight against eviction ended in a deadly blaze Wednesday when she intentionally started a fire in the home she shared with dozens of cats and refused to vacate.
The woman and dozens of cats died in the massive fire, which broke out shortly after 11 a.m. in Roosevelt, authorities said.
State police had served the unidentified woman an eviction notice but she refused to leave and threatened to blow up the house.

I hope the insurance company covers the loss. It's a shame about the cats.
Hillary?...........................
Lady, it wasn’t yours to blow up.
Enjoy Hell.
some folks are just crazy. was she a hoarder?
I feel badly for the cats. When I think of animals dying in terror and terrible pain…
Pro tip: Shut off the gas, before you come to evict.
She likely did the landlord a favor. The house was probably unlivable as she was a cat lady, it likely was full of cat urine and refuse and the landlord would have paid a hefty sum to clean it up.
Now he can start over with insurance money. In her spite she actually help him out, love the irony.
What an asshole. Why do that to the cats????
Well, it did save the issue of remodeling the house, now they get to build a new one.
Agree. Poor innocent pets.
“The house was probably unlivable as she was a cat lady, it likely was full of cat urine and refuse and the landlord would have paid a hefty sum to clean it up.”
You don’t know that.
I think the cats did it and framed her.
I did not mean that as as an insult against beautiful mature women who enjoy the pet’s company. I mean it in the sense that a lady willing to blow a house up probably fits the stereotypical image of a “cat lady hoarder.”
Please accept my apology.
They’ll do that...
Re: 5 - Just awful.
Wow, she really loves cats. In the O.J. way I guess.
I suspect she collected wine boxes in addition to cats.
When people plot such evil acts of revenge, they think of the look on their target’s face upon learning of their actions. They really do think, “Well, I will show him and then he will suffer and feel bad for what he did to me! Thus, I will win!”
They fail to take into consideration any unplanned results of their evil plot. For instance, she failed to take into consideration that 1) she would no longer have a home then anyway; and 2) she would be dead and unable to take delight in the landlord’s loss.
When considering renting out any property, the first thing to ask, “Do I have the stomach to be a landlord?”. Since there’s a gazillion genders, we should call them landTHEYs? (no sarc tag here, it’s gonna happen 😖🤬)
It's the NY Post. I suspect that someone meant to do that.
