This is a direct quote from Zelenskyy. Apparently the little tyrant is now wanting not only American money but American blood as well. The sooner we chuck this moronic, bloodthirsty dictator and stop this insane war the the better for the Ukraine and America.

There is a contingent of Freepers who are lining up to go fight for the piano player. At least, that’s the impression I get from their keyboard warrior rantings.

I know the quote about if Ukraine is defeated then Russia will at some point attack the NATO Baltic states and NATO sons and daughters will have to fight to protect NATO countries.

But where does Zelensky say that our NATO troops (sons and daughters) will be fighting for Ukraine?

It is a direct quote. But your ability to comprehend context is lacking. And the context is crystal clear.

That shows me you are purposely using the quote, out of its proper context, to promote your pro Russia agenda.

Try again.

You can be sure none of Zelensky’s loved ones will fight and die for the Ukraine - that is for us Americans to do.

Where did Zelensky say this from? His luxury home in Switzerland or Florida? Or from his parent’s luxury home in Israel?

If Russian is struggling to secure Russian borders in Donbas, Luhansk, and Crimea after the Euromaiden Revolution, how are they a threat to US Citizens? Didn’t the 2019 Rand Report reveal that Russia merely wants to expand commerce with Europe and the world?

As a retired American military officer and a mother I say that enough American sons and daughters have already died for the feckless Europeans. If they can’t play nicely together then screw ‘em.

G. Washington was right when he warned about “entangling alliances.” Dissolve NATO and let the Europeans defend themselves. If they’re not willing to, oh well, too bad. Not our problem.

I’d be okay with the money we have sent to Ukraine if they would turn over all the records on the politicians and their families who are taking graft from them. Records on corrupt politicians and their family bagmen from BOTH political parties. IMO, that would be a good investment to clean out a bunch of the Deep State.

The only reason I have for supporting the war is to see Russia taken down several pegs. Putin has the arrogance of the Tsars, and wants Russia to dominate and control Asia and Europe. And he is not alone in this.

Many Russians are still resentful that eastern Europe tossed them off with sneers at the collapse of the Soviet Union, instead of expressing “gratitude” for all those years of being under the Russian heel. They still protest the dismantling of communist monuments that they left behind.

Russians need an attitude adjustment.

Ukrainians hate Russians, and for good cause. Whenever someone nastily suggests they are neo-Nazis, they miss the big picture.

1) The Stalin caused mass starvation, the Holodomar, which killed millions of Ukrainians, as well as direct mass murder of Ukrainians by Russians, made a lot of Ukrainians enraged at Russians and communists.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holodomor

2) The one group that entered Ukraine to fight the communists, while putting a stop to their genocide, was the Nazis. This is why, as soon as the Nazis entered Ukraine, lots of Ukrainians offered to join with them to fight the communist Russians. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

So the Ukrainians don’t get the use of the word “Nazi” as an invective. They have no other comprehension of why Nazis were, or are “bad”.

Now, this being said, once the Russians are indeed taken down a few pegs and end up with a loss and hopefully are unwilling to be obnoxious again for quite a while, China is next.

Haven’t we spent enough American blood trying to keep Europeans from fighting other Europeans? In 1776 we divorced ourselves from Europe and all of its backward politics.

But the full context of the clip reveals that the Ukrainian president was talking about a hypothetical situation in which Russia invades NATO member countries, not calling for Americans to fight in his country.

Video of the conference shows that Zelenskyy was answering a question about his message to Americans who believe the U.S. is giving too much support to Ukraine. He started by thanking Americans for their ongoing support, then addressed what might happen if Ukraine loses the war.

“The U.S. is never going to give up on the NATO member states,” Zelenskyy says in the video. “If it happens so that Ukraine, due to various opinions and weakening, depleting of assistance, loses, Russia is going to enter Baltic states, NATO member states, and then the U.S. will have to send their sons and daughters exactly the same way as we are sending their sons and daughters to war. And they will have to fight. Because it’s NATO that we’re talking about, and they will be dying, god forbid, because it’s a horrible thing.”
