Trump calls DeSantis ‘wheelchair over the cliff kind of guy’ in odd rant
New York Post ^ | February 28, 2023 | Mark Moore

Former President Donald Trump swung left in his latest bizarre attack on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, on Tuesday accusing him of wanting to cut Social Security and Medicare and calling him a “wheelchair over the cliff kind of guy” in an all-caps blast.

Trump, 76, who announced Nov. 15 that he was seeking the 2024 Republican presidential nomination and is expected to face his most significant primary challenge from DeSantis, initially touted his poll numbers showing him leading the 44-year-old governor before cribbing from Democratic attack ads of the past.

“Great Poll numbers are springing forth for your favorite President, me, against Ron DeSanctus (& Biden). I guess people are finding out that he wanted to CUT SOCIAL SECURITY & RAISE THE MINIMUM AGE TO AT LEAST 70, at least 4 times. LIKEWISE WITH MEDICARE, WANTED BIG CUTS,” the 45th president posted on his Truth Social account.

“HE IS A WHEELCHAIR OVER THE CLIFF KIND OF GUY, JUST LIKE HIS HERO, failed politician Paul Ryan, the FoxNews ratings destroyer who led Mitt Romney’s Presidential Campaign down the tubes. GLOBALIST’S [sic] ALL! WE WANT AMERICA FIRST!!!” Trump added.

“Then you better just admit you’ve got a mangina and start taking testosterone supplements.”

Yeah man FR seems to have been taken over by weenies. Never seen so much pearl-clutching.

Trump isn’t pushing entitlement reform because he knows that we are switching over to QFS soon and there will be plenty of money for social security and healthcare/Medicare will be quickly evolving into medbed technology so he’s not worried about all that. If you have any questions about who’s the current President go on YouTube and look at Trumps recent motorcade leaving SC last month. Then look at one of former president Obamas motorcades. Who has the large police protected motorcade with ambulance which former presidents don’t get? We’re all watching a movie.

Trollin', trollin', trollin'...

Oh, so now it is “pearl clutching” not to embrace Leftist talking points we’ve been fighting tooth and nail for decades.

Three questions the Trump or no one club avoids;

1) Handing the nation over to Fauci/Birx/Pence during the plandemic, while starting the stimulypto inflation spiral and patting himself on the back over Operation Warp Speed.

2) Absolutely abandoning the Jan 6 political prisoners. Beyond shameful, done purely for his political expedience. “RINO” McCarthy has done more for them than Trump has. These political prisoners could have been pardoned before Jan 20, but have instead endured huge hardships so Trump won’t be accused of helping them. Sickening.

3) The absolute shit show that was the election rigging legal battle. The clown car attorneys did little more than fundraising- and the $250 million defense fund remains unspent. Stinks to high heaven.

I expect the ad hominem attacks from the usual suspects. Zero f_cks given. I’m not interested in giving the Rats 4 more years in the White House, and that is apparently Trump’s goal given his petty attacks.

Independent voters matter - he has alienated nearly all of them.

What he wrote was opinion, one that stinks more then most.

No, this is not a statement of opinion - it is a false statement of fact, and the kind of Leftist rhetoric we have been fighting for decades.

I find it hilarious everytime one of you fruits is so offended by something Trump says.

That makes little to no sense. You're a "fruit" and merely "offended" by seeing something like this, like there is no cause for any legitimate concern when someone starts engaging in the same false, Leftist "Mediscare" rhetoric we have been fighting tooth and nail for decades. But I guess since you also adopt the Leftist rhetoric that facts are no different than "opinions", that's just fine with you.

News Flash: 2020 was stolen.

Since we're doing "news flash" stuff:

The dems controlled all three branches of government in 2021 and 2022, and hit the gas pedal on deficit spending and government growth the entire time. Trump's fixation on the 2020 election cost two winnable seats and control of the Senate in Georgia because he and his merry band of Kraken hunters convinced his base that their vote didn't matter in a runoff.

The dems showed their plan for ballot harvesting in 2018 in california, and the GOP under Trump did nothing in 2020 about it. They broadcast their mail in strategy far and wide all throughout 2020 and the GOP under Trump did nothing. 2022 in Arizona was as clear an example as possible of what happens when you keep thinking that the old rules are still in play, and that a republican can win a stolen election in the courts.

You can call these tactics "theft" all you want, but look at the damned scoreboard, realize who is winning and do something about it.

DeSantis did something about it and won bigly in 2022. Trump endorsed a celebrity doctor who then lost a race against a brain damaged socialist who couldn't string three words together in a debate.

And while we're it, what happened to the 250 million that Trump raised to fight that stolen election? Where is that money? Did Trump use any of it for litigation or ballot measures to close loopholes on ballot harvesting? Did any of it even go to help the legal bills of a single Jan 6th political prisoner, hundreds of whom have had their lives ruined for attending a protest and are being sentenced to multiyear sentences for tresspassing, and some have even been driven to suicide because of the persecution? Trump was Johnny on the spot with BigMacs in Ohio that one time when he saw an opening, but he's nowhere to be seen with those Jan6th defendants.

Womp. Womp. You weak-kneed, always crying, always complaining, never loyal, Trump-hating freepers. It's going to a long six years for you buffoons.

Probably will be - what other Leftist ideas and false rhetoric we have fought against tooth and nail for decades do you suggest we now embrace?

Looks like 4 more years of Joe Biden.

Trump will lose again. DeSantis should just stay out and come back in 2028.

“...but it’s much less appealing when he’s using those tactics on the main person in the GOP pushing back on woke on a policy level at the moment.”

DeSantis is the main person pushing back? You must have been asleep for the last 6 or 7 years when Trump was doing it totally alone.

“Trump attacks using DNC talking points.”

Nope, Trump has been going after Ryan for quite some time, about ten years. I think that is probably why Ryan hates him.

> Independent voters matter - he has alienated nearly all of them. <

This is the most important sentence in the entire thread. And it’s what I’ve been seeing among my acquaintances, people who voted for Trump in the past but are wobbling now.

Okay, I’ll save the Trump die-hards some time. Yes, these wobblers are idiots, fools, dupes, etc. But each one of them has the exact same number of votes as the most ardent Trump voter.

We need MAGA back. And to get that, we need to get the wobblers back. Trump is not helping with this, so far.

Also let Biden run ads the entire campaign season unresponded to on many national networks - Biden’s campaign controlled the narrative and Biden’s own image (falsely, but effectively) the *entire* time, targeting the votes who voted third party in 2016 to feel “safe” voting for “Good ol’ Joe”. It worked.
That was almost certainly enough to have flipped close states. President Trump had such a story to tell not only about himself and his own successes, but also many things to say about Biden to combat the image he was projecting - but nope, they sat back and just let it all happen.

Yep, and others are equally still licking his boots. Don’t worry, it will all pass over the next few months. I think the competition is good, just destructive name calling and comments are not helpful. Good thing is that Republicans have a lot of potentially good choices, almost all governors with good experience and records. We’ll also have the foreign wanna bes likes Haley, likely Cruz will pop up again, and Rubio, etc. But whatever, Trump trounced them once, anyone can the second time around.

Trump behaves the way he does at his own political peril......I

Definite maybe.

I know many people that were staunch supporters of his thst are now having serious second thoughts about voting for him again for that very reason.

And that's OK, the democrats will provide an option for them. Trump is who he is.

Like it or not.....believe it or not , it’s turning people off

No doubt. That said, voting for Biden is not an option.

The primaries will be hard fought. That's OK. A victor will emerge. That person - trump or not - will go to the general more battle hardened. I think that is healthy. Then the easily offended can make their own decisions about who they will support.

Trump fights. I like that.
