Trump calls DeSantis ‘wheelchair over the cliff kind of guy’ in odd rant

Former President Donald Trump swung left in his latest bizarre attack on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, on Tuesday accusing him of wanting to cut Social Security and Medicare and calling him a “wheelchair over the cliff kind of guy” in an all-caps blast.

Trump, 76, who announced Nov. 15 that he was seeking the 2024 Republican presidential nomination and is expected to face his most significant primary challenge from DeSantis, initially touted his poll numbers showing him leading the 44-year-old governor before cribbing from Democratic attack ads of the past.

“Great Poll numbers are springing forth for your favorite President, me, against Ron DeSanctus (& Biden). I guess people are finding out that he wanted to CUT SOCIAL SECURITY & RAISE THE MINIMUM AGE TO AT LEAST 70, at least 4 times. LIKEWISE WITH MEDICARE, WANTED BIG CUTS,” the 45th president posted on his Truth Social account.

“HE IS A WHEELCHAIR OVER THE CLIFF KIND OF GUY, JUST LIKE HIS HERO, failed politician Paul Ryan, the FoxNews ratings destroyer who led Mitt Romney’s Presidential Campaign down the tubes. GLOBALIST’S [sic] ALL! WE WANT AMERICA FIRST!!!” Trump added.

Why do you have such a problem with truth? Name one person in American history who has been more persecuted that Trump? Add to that Trump accomplished more as a POTUS then any other in my lifetime. It’s just fact, sorry if that puts your panties in a twist.

“Trump needs to earn my vote again in 2024.”

I feel this is a major part of the problem with the GOP. With the efforts to controlling illegals, his financial successes for the country, his embarrassment of the liberal press putting them on their heals, his re-establishing our country’s superiority militarily, financially, and politically forcing the backing off of problem countries, while doing this when his own party won’t back him I would say has earned a vote for him in 2024 to try to continue these successes already.

Question is, what has he got to do to prove to the voters he is the path to success for the country that he hasn’t already started?

“he wanted to CUT SOCIAL SECURITY & RAISE THE MINIMUM AGE TO AT LEAST 70, at least 4 times...”

So he had the nerve to try to fix a badly broken system, even though most politicians won’t because it’s considered “political suicide” and they care more about their careers than they do about actually doing their job.

>> ‘wheelchair over the cliff kind of guy’

Not new symbolism for SS/Medicare cuts.

“The only time one Republican should attack another is during primary season.”

Well, Trump has basically said that he considers this IS primary season, since he has already declared and DeSantis appears to be running a stealth campaign, even if he hasn’t officially declared yet.

The media gave Trump a free ride in 2016.... and with that help, he defeated the whole field. If he issn’t carfeful, he’ll become the Hillary Clinton of the GOP.

DeSantis is getting similar positive press even though he’s not declared....just living in Trump’s head 24/7.

Odd rant?

The media, will never understand this man.

the subtext of this is very simple. Trump knows thru back channels, that DeSantis is getting support from the old GOP asshats like Bush, Romney, Ryan etc.

He’s letting Desantis know, that if he runs, he can expect an all-out frontal assault. So, he should think twice about running.

But I predict he will run, because he’s drunk with ambition and delusion.

God sent Ron to lead us. It says so right in his ad!

Maybe God does, seeing how He allowed Governor DeSantis to be re-elected in a massive, historical landslide.

Womp. Womp. You weak-kneed, always crying, always complaining, never loyal, Trump-hating freepers. It's going to a long six years for you buffoons.

The only time one Republican should attack another is during primary season.

Well you are in luck then.

Trump has declared. DeSantis Rufuses to rule out that he's running, while his surrogates go after Trump.

It's absolutely primary season.

Deal with it.

This is where Trump squanders the good will he just received for his home run E. Palestine visit by reverting back to the narcissistic blowhard that has many GOP primary voters looking elsewhere in 2024.

Your breaking of FR policy aside, please consider that your posts are hurting Trump’s chances of being elected in 2024. I know that you don’t mean it that way.

But consider this. A check of posts on this thread will show that many Freepers are like me. We respect MAGA, but wonder if Trump is still up to the job. A good argument might convince us 2020 Trump voters that yes, Trump is still up to the job. And so a few more primary votes go Trump’s way. And every vote matters.

But insults send zero votes Trump’s way.
