Former President Donald Trump swung left in his latest bizarre attack on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, on Tuesday accusing him of wanting to cut Social Security and Medicare and calling him a “wheelchair over the cliff kind of guy” in an all-caps blast.
Trump, 76, who announced Nov. 15 that he was seeking the 2024 Republican presidential nomination and is expected to face his most significant primary challenge from DeSantis, initially touted his poll numbers showing him leading the 44-year-old governor before cribbing from Democratic attack ads of the past.
“Great Poll numbers are springing forth for your favorite President, me, against Ron DeSanctus (& Biden). I guess people are finding out that he wanted to CUT SOCIAL SECURITY & RAISE THE MINIMUM AGE TO AT LEAST 70, at least 4 times. LIKEWISE WITH MEDICARE, WANTED BIG CUTS,” the 45th president posted on his Truth Social account.
“HE IS A WHEELCHAIR OVER THE CLIFF KIND OF GUY, JUST LIKE HIS HERO, failed politician Paul Ryan, the FoxNews ratings destroyer who led Mitt Romney’s Presidential Campaign down the tubes. GLOBALIST’S [sic] ALL! WE WANT AMERICA FIRST!!!” Trump added.

Trump is the Howard Stern of politics. At first, he seemed edgy and interesting. Now he is just a boorish, petty, and petulant egomaniac.
You started out by making a point about a corrupt globalist agenda. I found that interesting, and perhaps worth further discussion. Who knows? Perhaps you could change my mind about a few things, and I could learn something new.
Then you ended your post by insulting me. That’s a pity. I’ve been insulted before, and worse than that. But I do not insult fellow Freepers, ever. And I do not accept insults. So unfortunately I am no longer interested in what you have to say.
In the meantime I have been noticing DeSantis getting power hungry over his last election. He has to be careful about that. He is very right which I love but some people don’t. That can be as a big turn off as name calling. The libs have us where they want us , it is looking that way.
You’re not my favorite by a long shot. You just put the country through the worst quagmire in 50+ years, and would do it all again if you had the chance, based on what a great a job you foolishly think you did.
Trump isn’t pushing entitlement reform because he knows that we are switching over to QFS soon and there will be plenty of money for social security and healthcare/Medicare will be quickly evolving into medbed technology so he’s not worried about all that.
If you have any questions about who’s the current President go on YouTube and look at Trumps recent motorcade leaving SC last month. Then look at one of former president Obamas motorcades. Who has the large police protected motorcade with ambulance which former presidents don’t get?

I agree. And they almost all support abortion. And yet, in other areas the libertarians are right over almost all Republicans (and always more right than Dims). For example, the libertarians were against Bush's Patriot Act that many Republicans supported. The same with libertarians being against the china virus mandates, while some Republicans were for them for a while.
Trump behaves the way he does at his own political peril......I know many people that were staunch supporters of his thst are now having serious second thoughts about voting for him again for that very reason.

Take a breath, and remember that I have one vote, the same as you. I cast that vote for Trump in 2016 and 2020. Trump needs to earn my vote again in 2024. It’s just that simple, and it’s the way it’s supposed to work. I believe in MAGA, as I noted earlier. But I don’t believe in a cult of personality.
If you want to make a reasoned counter-argument, please do. More than once someone here on FR has made such a good counter-argument that I changed my mind. I appreciate such conversations. But if you just want to swear and insult, I’ll pass.

What he wrote was opinion, one that stinks more then most. I find it hilarious everytime one of you fruits is so offended by something Trump says. Especially because what Trump says turns out to be true 99.9% of the time.

Most of the big donors backing DeSantis, backed Trump his first run. That’s why he’s attacking DeSantis as establishment. DeSantis was one of the founders of the Freedom Caucus.
He still goes on proudly about the vaccine, then attacks DeSantis about how bad he handled covid.
Now he’s attacking him over needed SS Reform.
Everything conservative thing DeSantis does, Trump will take the opposite side. Soon, Trump will sound like a member of the squad. :)

Perhaps. But if you have been vilified for 6 freaking years from head to toe and family members losing their businesses, etc. and then having your house raided and DeSantis didn’t do diddly squat. That should ring alarm bells for the GOP base. I’m beginning to think he’s another RINO another Cranshaw from Texas. He fool us here in Texas good until his eyepatch came off and then we saw the real McCoy. Nasty man. You think for one minute Trump is happy about everything that has happened personally to him ever since he became president and the GOP didn’t help him one iota and are continually backstabbing him?
