The bill would limit discussions on sexual orientation or gender identity. A new Missouri bill takes Florida's controversial Parental Rights in Education law, dubbed the "Don't Say Gay" law, even further. The bill says that "no nurse, counselor, teacher, principal, contracted personnel, or other administrative official at a public or charter school shall discuss gender identity or sexual orientation with a minor student" unless they're a licensed mental health care provider and have a guardian's permission. The Missouri bill goes further than the Florida law, which restricts classroom instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity through kindergarten to grade 3, by not specifying an age group and explicitly barring discussions on these topics. The bill has already earned backlash from LGBTQ rights organizations and allies. They say the bill has the potential to erase books or lessons about LGBTQ people from classrooms and marginalizes LGBTQ students and faculty. "The recent 'Don't Say Gay' bill that passed in Florida was step one in erasing conversations about gender identity and sexual orientation within grade school curriculum," PROMO Missouri, an LGBTQ+ advocacy group, said in a statement. "Missouri is taking the next giant leap by aiming to stop faculty, staff, and students from talking about these and related topics at all." The Missouri Senate Education and Workforce Development Committee held a hearing Tuesday on Republican state Sen. Mike Moon's proposed legislation, however committee members did not vote. PROMO Missouri protested the Tuesday hearing.

Retaking sanity.
Years from now the Dims will tell a lie that the "parties switched sides" and the Dims were on the right said all along.
š the resurgence of “don’t say gay”? Well, if you’re going all in (ahem) go ALL in.
Homosexual acts should be illegal. So should all of these medical mutilations even if for adults.
Take the ax to the trunk of the corruption as far down as you possibly can. Don’t trim back the top branches and say that’s that.
The Dept of Sexucation needs to be banned from school.
It’s supposed to be about reading, writing, math, history...
and no sex or gender training, nor is CRT a subject that kids need to be prepared for life.
The federal dept of education needs to be cancelled, and that’s where most of the education problems stem from.
“no nurse, counselor, teacher, principal, contracted personnel, or other administrative official at a public or charter school shall discuss gender identity or sexual orientation with a minor student” unless they’re a licensed mental health care provider and have a guardian’s permission.”
I am trying to figure out the downside of this.
That's how it was sold. Public education has really always been about indoctrination, even if who gets to do the indoctrinating changes from time to time.
“....dubbed the “Don’t Say Gay” law...”

Yeah by nutty, Left-wing kooks (which would include ABC news).
During the entirety of my primary school experience parental permission slips were standard school administration practice, expected for every activity or instruction outside of basic classroom reading, writing and arithmetic.
It seems suspect to me that this basic standard would receive any opposition.
I believe a neutral journalistic organization, ABC News should refrain from using activist terminology when referring to a bill such as this. The headline is deliberate opinion shaping rather than delivering the news.
Neutral? Bwahahahahahahaha! Since when?
The focus should absolutely be on the core fundamentals of education. It certainly sounds like weāve gotten far away from it and teachers feel emboldened and entitled to take the place of parents because the education establishment already failed to educate their parents or they simply disagree with the parentsā morals, culture or values.
Thatās what they hold themselves out to be right?
Things that used to be common sense must now be enshrined in law
ābill takes ‘Don’t Say Gay’ law even furtherā
The LBGT propagandists in MSM never misses an opportunity to use that term and itās a lie.
The instant ABC “news” uses the terminology, “don’t say gay,” they’re lying.
Well, DUH!! What does Captain Obvious have to say about that?
This perversion crap has ZERO right and ZERO justification to be in any public school in any form whatsoever. It was bad enough 25 years ago when our local high school began letting the "GLSEN" perverts join in our Homecoming parades.
Disney will boycott Missouri...š¤
