Chicago is a city in decline and has been for many years. MANY years.
Liberal Lesbian Licker Lori Lightfoot accelerated the decline during the scamdemic, quite literally shutting the city down and closing EVERYTHING.
In the last year, she's been trying to brute-force big companies in Chicago into mandating their employees return to office despite rampant crime, rampant homelessness, lack of effective policing and inability to prevent or solve a crime, all so the City of Chicago could collect the HEAD TAX from companies and to make her re-election prospects look better.

The only thing that changes is who's sitting in the Mayor's seat to continue the oversight of the decline.
The fact is this: The Teachers Union and the Public Sector (Government workers) Union run the show in Chicago. When they say JUMP! the Mayor asks "How high?"
That's been true since Richie Daley and NOTHING has changed.
It's so bad in Chicago, record numbers of police are retiring for the third year in a row and the city cannot replace them fast enogh, if at all. (I have a ton of background on this one and have explained why previously.)
So the fact is this: Until the Teachers Union and Government Workers Union are broken, absolutely nothing changes in Chicago. They are the two biggest SUCKERS of taxpayer dollars straight into their pensions, which prevent any meaningful change from ever happening in the city.
That's bank. Everyone who's honest about it knows this.
While Paul Vallas did in fact leave Chicago Public Schools with a $1B surplus after he left it, Arnie Duncan (who went on to be Obama's Education Secretary and damaged education nationwide) squandered it and completed the pay-off and politicization of the teachers unions.
Beyond that, both Paul Vallas and Brandon Johnson are cut from the same cloth: Progressives who believe in big government, defunding the police, disarming law-abiding citizens and the reforms that are letting violent, repeat offenders back on the streets vis a vis a revolving door in the court system with the goal of furthering the decline in Chicago.
Fact.
Chicago will NEVER be back. It'll remain a city in decline until it looks like Detroit of the early 90's. And then? Detroit will look good by comparison.

Yep! But since we are living in a racist environment my money is on the black dude winning in April. He is a defund the police wacko with black skin who will continue in beetlejuice’s gestapo footsteps. Nothing will change because the Gullible black voting folk will vote chocolate every time. Vallas is not the right favor of the month. Sad but true. Also sad that Chicago has millions of voting citizens and only a handful showed up to voted. Vallas should have reached 50% to avoid a runoff…too bad. Watch for the black voter fraud machine to click into action in April.

African? Or African AMERICAN? Was I insensitive or racist? Guess they’re gonna throw me into a reprogramming race class. Weird how a man can execute a homeless white man in broad daylight, nobody even blinked an eye. This was a black on white crime and there’s no if so butts about it. The black guy saw white on the homeless guy sitting there on the curb, and he decided to just snuff him out because he felt entitled to. This is what Germany did to the Jews in the concentration camps..they would line up the jews and blow their brains out and throw them all in a ditch burying them all together in one grave. And the rest of the guards just blinked an eye. Folks were living in that moment now. This is the type of law and order the Democrats want for this nation.
