From what I have been able to gleen, Transnestria is a Mad Max kind of region. The vaunted 1500 Russian troops have been isolated since the 1990s without replacement or supply. In other words, they have gone feral. Other than the odd Russian agents sneaking in/out and whatever electronic communications, no direct contact with Russia.

What instability are you talking about and who are planning to seed chaos?
Right now it is NATO pushing the puppet government to give a green light to Ukraine to attack Transnistria.
The government is already awfully unpopular, facing daily protests over the living costs and the last thing people want is to get into another war.
Tens of thousands are protesting in the capital and many more are trying to get in from the provinces, except the police is blocking the highways.
Russia has nothing to do with this.
