Rep. Bob Good (R-VA) introduced legislation Tuesday designed to end the FBI and ATF coordinating with local enforcement to carry out “no knock raids” on gun owners.
A press release, which Breitbart News possesses, made clear that Good is concerned that the ATF’s recent AR pistol stabilizer brace rule could “open the door for increased coordination between the ATF and local agents to perform no-knock warrants on law-abiding gun owners.” The Federal Agent Responsibility Act is intended to prevent such raids.
Good said, “The Biden Administration continues to weaponize every part of the executive branch to infringe on the rights of all Americans.”
He added, “Law abiding gun owners in my district and across the country should not live in fear that federal agents will come knocking at their door to confiscate their guns. My bill will provide a check on this administration and ensure no-knock raids are not exploited to violate the constitutional rights of law-abiding citizens.”
Good’s legislation does recognize an exception in the event that “the federal officer enters…[a residence] due to a risk or threat of risk of a serious, imminent life-threatening injury to a law enforcement officer or others.”
The chief goal of Good’s bill is to end government overreach via the weaponization of federal agencies.

Very appropriate legislation to be introduced on the anniversary of Waco...
Still waiting for the ATF to be converted into a convenience store
Good luck reigning in the Gestapo/FBI. We are at war against the federal governments arm of fascism, the FBI
I am of the opinion that:
Aggressive LEO action of any kind should require a warrant signed by a Judge. So any kind of forced entry would require more than just a search warrant.
Require the Sheriff to approve the action and be responsible for any errors in the above warrant application or execution of the action.
A “No Knock” would require that the warrant only be approved when LEO has probable cause to believe that a citizens life is in danger.
“Republican Rep. Introduces Bill to End FBI/ATF.....”
THAT sounds better.
Pretty impressive of Breitbart News.
Before they ‘don’t knock’, if you see anyone getting ready to come near or in your home, call 911 and yell people with guns outside your home. There is a bodycam video of police answering just such a call. Some ATF busy body was in front of a house, not in any uniform, with a lanyard & ID. They were, supposedly, checking on a registered firearm (or some other lame excuse). The homeowner called 911. As the police bodycam documents, the ATF creep would not cooperate with the police instructions to get on the ground. The police eventually ‘helped’ him to the ground, face down. As soon as he was face down, all of the sudden he had a ‘condition’ a disability of some sort. This creep probably gets his nails done in a salon.
No Knock Warrants are unConstitutional excuses to conduct armed home invasions.
They should be treated as such in every instance.
I’ve told our Deputy Sheriff they should draw straws to see who dies first if they attempt to enter my home uninvited.
They apparently lack the desire to enjoy retirement pensions.
Barging into a house is dangerous.
Suspects should be watched and apprehended in a safe manner.
Impatient LEOs can die before getting a pension.
The Mexican border security people rely on metal detectors.
American police could place a metal detector near the front door that could tell if a suspect leaving his house is armed.
I know what you mean.
OTOH, if anyone from any agency other than my county’s Sheriff’s office were the invaders I would be calling my Sheriff for assistance.
Time permitting a phone call.
Only problem. They always out gun you.
Can’t win ‘em all. Doesn’t change a thing for me though.
The last time my neighbor & I held two trespassers at gunpoint, after dark, in our rural area after they put spotlights on our homes - they id’d as Deputy Sheriffs. A call to them wouldn’t benefit us at this point.
Yeah, that probably wouldn’t work.
I wouldn’t expect my Sheriff’s Dept. to actively take my side but I think their presence, as LEO witnesses who would have to record and report everything, might lessen the chance for overreaction on the invader’s part.
It would be a long shot but the Sheriff himself is very conservative, a strong 2nd A supporter and professional.
But if invaders are already in my house the Sheriffs aren’t going to make it in time anyway.
