This war is not about conquest; it is about neutralization and denazification and defeating nato attempts at incursion. Russia already lost in 1991, and NATO did NOT move in then, and is not interested in moving in now. Russia did not have to invade now, and it is only existential for Putin. If Putin loses, he’s gone. And good riddance.
