CHICAGO (WLS) -- At least ten people were shot, three fatally, in weekend shootings across Chicago, police said.
A man was found fatally shot on Chicago's West Side early Sunday morning, Chicago police said. The 22-year-old man, shot in the head and chest, was found in the Douglas Park neighborhood at about 2:14 a.m., police said.
On Saturday night, a teen boy was fatally shot and a woman was injured on Chicago's Southwest Side, police said. The shooting happened just before 10:30 p.m. in the Ashburn neighborhood's 3400 block of West 79th Street, police said. The victims, a 16-year-old boy and a 36-year-old woman, were standing in an alley after leaving a party when someone fired shots. The teen, shot in the head, was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
A woman is also dead following a shooting in Grand Crossing earlier Saturday, police said. The woman, 46, was standing on the street in the 7000 block of South Rhodes Avenue around 2:30 a.m. when a black sedan approached and someone fired shots at her, according to Chicago police.
Last weekend, at least 11 people were shot, three fatally, in gun violence across the city, police said.

Similar stories every day in Baltimore. On the news this morning, the Baltimore Chief of Police led his conference by saying that “We’ve got to get the guns off the street!”
Chicago is just being its normal self.
I wonder if Vegas bets on how many will be killed and wounded each weekend.
If weather forecasts are a normal daily event, why not the number of dead and wounded in Chicago?
None of these people pulling the trigger can legally own guns. Not one.
How about the ATF go into these communities, door to door and start confiscating these illegal guns?
Every time time a Mayor blames “the NRA”, a reporter should ask if the ATF should take the lead getting the guns out of these communities (like they are trying to do in the suburbs with legal gun owners)
“We’ve got to get the guns off the street!”
In this instance courage from a public official would be a different message, “This is a people problem, we need to catch people committing crime and our justice system needs to ensure that they are punished. We will no longer tolerate criminals or anyone that enables them.”
It will never happen, there’s no such courage in these blue cities. Innocent people will continue to pay the price. Fight crime, rehab education, evolve to becoming attractive to businesses seeking labor.

Not news. It will be news when there is a weekend when nobody is shot in Chicago.
They’ve been shooting people on weekends in Chicago for decades. It’s nothing new. It’s a tradition. It’s a pahtay kind of town. I’m all for you city dwellers getting guns off of your newly BLM painted “streets” but don’t try messing with those of us who use them to protect our homes and to shoot and hunt in our rural fields and woods. Keep your self-inflicted crime problems within your city limits. FJB
