Not clear why DOE has any reason to fund such a conclusion.

Whose energy research budget paid for this? There are some guys who need firing.

This should come from CDC, or maybe State, or okay even FBI. Not DOE.

I guess it depends on how woke you are if you know it’s the lab leak or believe it was “natural”.

Trying to manage a crisis with propaganda always results in chaos, confusion and contradictions, where the truth is simple and consistent. They will never learn.

RE: Not clear why DOE has any reason to fund such a conclusion.

This is an example of DUPLICATIVE work that various government d3partments are doing, one agency not knowing what the others are doing.

This is how our tax dollars are being spent.

“Laboratory leak” is only one half the question. Was the “leak” of a virus of purely natural origin, or did gain of function research create a new viral strain that never occurred naturally.? That is the real heart of the matter.

As Stated in the article: “The Energy Department’s conclusion is the result of new intelligence and is significant because the agency has considerable scientific expertise and oversees a network of U.S. national laboratories, some of which conduct advanced biological research.”

Duplication is a feature, not a drawback. Duplication is the antidote to single minded organizations that overlook alternatives.

Seek and Find :".. the United States Department of Energy has concluded that COVID "most likely arose from a laboratory leak,"
an updated position for the Energy Department that was reportedly revealed in "a classified intelligence report
recently provided to the White House and key members of Congress."

What relevance does the "Dept. of Energy" have about the covid-19 virus ?
It has the same reliability and credence as non-military Sec. Yellen, of the Treasury Department, commenting on the need for continuing the war in Ukraine.
Grenholm is nothing more than a 'space cadet', in position based on ideology rather than energy and power production and distribution.
Meritocracy has existed for generations for a reason !

Another half of the question is ‘what are we going to do about it’ if it was a lab leak?

The US DoD conducted this bioweapon in cooperation with the CCP.

COVID and the Jab together are the Bioweapon. When they are combined more deaths ensue.

Why are we now seeing the Jabbed getting COVID multiple times and now starting to die in larger numbers than the unVaxxed? Both COVID and the Jab working together destroy the immune system making the body vulnerable to everything.

This will come as a shock, but the Department of Energy is one of the largest funders of basic and applied science in the US. Remember it owns and operates a number of the national labs, including Livermore, Los Alamos, Sandia, Oak Ridge, Berekely, Argonne, SLAC, Fermilab, and Brookhaven. For historical reasons having to do with understanding radition effects it has alwasy funded a lot of work in the biological sciences as a consequence of which is has a large number of unique capabilities. Because of these, and the fact that DOE has lead the large scale high performance computing effort, it was largely responsible for the human genome sequencing effort.

Now, to be clear, DOE itself is just a sprawling federal bureaucracy of middling competence. But the laboratories it operates are first rate.

Only a small part of the DOE actually does energy.

Remember how for 3 years EVERYTHING they have been saying has been wrong and EVERYTHING we have been saying has been right, but WE have been banned for “misinformation”. Everything from election fraud, Hunter’s laptop, Russian collusion, COVID, etc. They get to LIE for 3 years without repercussions.
