A group of nearly 100 Polish police officers has returned from an operation – kept secret until now – to demine areas in Ukraine won back from Russian occupation. The team was welcomed home by President Andrzej Duda at the presidential palace, where he awarded them medals for bravery.
Working in the Kyiv region, the Polish group cleared more than 342,000 square metres of land and over 17.5 kilometres of roads.
The Polish officers safely removed around 2,000 dangerous objects, including mines, grenades and grenade launchers.

Ummm, did I misunderstand the meaning of “secret?”
No, I am certain there will now be a BOLO for the next secret mission.
Hopefully all those Russian weapons will shortly return to sender.
I’ll bet with all this bravery, these guys inspired Jo Jo the Pedo to want to add “ski” to the end of his name.
headline should read : Polish Police used as props in a Globalist racketeering operation that converted the EU energy debt to Russia into “sanctions” by accusing Russia of “Occupation” and creating a war so they dont have to pay

What about the bio labs ?
I don’t trust any “news” from any side in this war.
Okay, let’s play “what’s wrong with this picture?”. Why would you send police on a demining mission? Are Polish police trained in demining? Maybe they are. I know nothing about the Polish police, but it seems unlikely.
Did they get a crash course in demining from Polish military? Would you want to go on a demining mission after only receiving a crash course? Led by those who only got a crash course? Would you send such people on a demining mission? Would you? In good conscience?
Or maybe they’ve been training these police for months. From HALO:
“All HALO deminers undergo rigorous training, with additional training for supervisory roles. Trainee international operations managers undergo training in Cambodia for a minimum of seven months. As staff progress, some are selected for additional specialist training in areas such as clearance of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (grenades, shells and mortars), improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and air-dropped weapons. All training is conducted in accordance with the UN’s International Mine Action Standards.”

Or maybe well-trained Polish military skilled at demining just switched uniforms?
Why make it a “police” operation? Not nearly as much of an escalation as openly sending military, but still an escalation. Why not form a Polish demining NGO and let the military switch their uniforms for NGO vests/uniforms? That would be all humanitarian and stuff. No escalation there. Even if the humanitarian volunteers were military.
I hate mines. Several colleagues of mine have been killed by them, and a dear friend horribly maimed. I truly hate them. I applaud those skilled and courageous enough to go on these demining missions.
But this story leaves me with lots of questions. I don’t doubt such a mission took place. I just have questions about it.
How many Polack police does it take to demine a field?
One to hold the ladder 🪜 and another to turn the 💡 bulb?
“but still an escalation”
There is a risk that President Putin might retaliate soiling his pants again.
How many Episcopalians does it take to change a lightbulb?
Two. One to mix the martinis and another to call the electrician.
2 + 1 kacap and a wheelbarrow. They put a kacap into a wheelbarrow and push it forward though the field.

I got curious about the population remaining in Ukraine. According to google Ukraine had 36 million ppl (and also 44 million!) before the war. And of those 6 million were in the two oblasts of luhansk and donetsk. So I think google has subtracted those on one of queries to show the “loyal Ukrainians.” Those ppl were targets of Ukrainian shelling for years by the way.....yeah Ukraine is just a peaceful country not doing anything to piss off anyone. Also according to google, 8 million have fled Ukraine and have not returned. Another ten million had fled, but since returned. I’m gonna to go out on a limb and say the only refugees a western org would count are those fleeing west, not east to Russia. So what once looked like a country of 44 million is essentially down to 28 million. And 10 million of those were recent refugees. It seems to me that a country that has undergone such upheaval in the last year is the side losing the war.
Ya know, these soiled pants comments are getting so tiresome, whether referring to Biden or Putin. Sometimes when I click on a thread and see a pile of comments about Biden’s poopy pants I wonder whether FR is now populated by potty mouthed third grade boys and move on. Same for threads full of poopy-pants Putin. Nothing to learn on such threads.
Again, I applaud anyone who removes these devilish things.
Both sides are laying them, of course. It’s a war.
“(Kyiv, January 31, 2023) – Ukraine should investigate its military’s apparent use of thousands of rocket-fired antipersonnel landmines in and around the eastern city of Izium when Russian forces occupied the area, Human Rights Watch said today.
Human Rights Watch documented numerous cases in which rockets carrying PFM antipersonnel mines, also called “butterfly mines” or “petal mines,” were fired into Russian-occupied areas near Russian military facilities. Ukraine is a state party to the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty, which prohibits any use of antipersonnel mines.”

And I thank you for posting this article/blog post. Interesting.
As I have stated/ Ukraine has been depopulated, deenergized, deindustrialized, infrastructure East of the Dniepner totally destroyed.
There is a huge, massive shortage of working age men- Ukraine will not be rebuilt by Ukrainians. Best to give what is left to Vlad, he did miracles in rebuilding Marioupol.
One to hold the bulb and three to turn the ladder....
🤣😆
Working in the Kyiv region?
