(AFP) – President Volodymyr Zelensky vowed Friday to do everything to defeat Russia this year, as the first Leopard tanks arrived in Ukraine on the anniversary of the start of Europe’s largest conflict since World War II.
Street protests against the Russian invasion were held in many European capitals to mark the anniversary, and fresh Western sanctions targeted Russia’s banks, military industry and semiconductor access.

The Russians are justly paranoid about invaders, because it does cause enormous hardship and they have been through it lots of times in their history. Liar, Zelensky did not "slam" Americans, which is why you did quote him. His exact words are:

This whole Ukraine thing seems like a sporting event for some people. It’s the Ukraine Supporters versus the Putin Sycophants. Predictably people line up on both sides and root for their team to win. Kansas City people are a bunch of tornado dodging hicks while Philadelphia people are cheese sandwich eating hooligans. Ukraine supporters are nuclear war starting nutcases while Putin Sycophants support Putin who is a really bad guy. Zelensky ought to be pissed (at Xiden). He’s been played to make ukraine ground zero for the first shots of Cold War II, all planned & set up under Zero’s watch. Now that Xiden et al have driven the chinese & russkies together, ukraine’s fate is sealed:
They are doomed. They/he WILL lose (I predict zelensky will miraculously survive and pop up overseas somewhere). But that’s not the worst part of it:
It would be wise to stock up on Potassium Iodide, because history is repeating itself under an entirely new paradigm, unfortunately heralded by a throng of ignorant, dumbass faux conservatives and dunce republicans in lockstep with the left/globalists as ‘a good thing’.

That's fine, it's great that they have advanced tanks, but are the Ukrainians trained in operating them, and what about their Generals? Are they versed in tactics in how and when to use them? If not, the Germans need to start production on their replacements.
Russia is laughing about the big deal made over these tanks.
The real story is that Germany is losing industries right and left. We are convincing them to move to the US.
In case you wonder why Biden recently began sounding like a parrot of Trump giving praise to manufacturing.
The tanks were, some if them, being leased or still being paid for...that’s why you read that Baltic countries in particular had to get permission from Germany to donate them.
Finally, and don’t miss this...when those tanks were donated, those countries donating them signed on the dotted line to forever after purchase tanks from the US.
Remember how Germany was so hesitant to get on board?
And everyone was blasting them for it?
We are not just trying to take down Russia. We also wanted to screw Germany.

What I find funny is that some western tanks from the 1970's(Leopards) sent to Ukraine, are better than anything Russia, the #2 military in the world, has currently in Ukraine.
