Donald Trump is dominating the 2024 field, this time in a hypothetical matchup with other potential Republican competitors in the Kansas primary.
The poll, published by the Remington Research Group, put Trump in a hypothetical matchup with Flordia Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL), former Vice President Mike Pence, and former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley. The poll also included former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and South Carolina Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), both of whom have yet to declare.
The 45th president grabbed 30 percent of voter support. This dwarfed Governor DeSantis’s support base, which totaled 17 percent. Nikki Haley and Mike Pompeo both grabbed nine percent each, and Tim Scott followed far behind with two percent. This poll, like many others, demonstrates that Donald Trump is still in the driver’s seat when it comes to the 2024 Republican race.
This is not the only poll released this week signaling good news for Trump. A poll released to the Hill by Harvard-CAPS and Harris Polling finds that “Trump beat Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) by 23 points. Trump beat DeSantis with 46 percent to DeSantis’s 23 percent.”
The DC Enquirer adds that “this is a five-point drop in support for DeSantis since last month.”
A poll released by Neighborhood Research and Media poll last week shows President Trump also dominating a hypothetical Republican primary matchup in South Carolina.
As the DC Enquirer reports, in that poll, “Trump came in first place with 35.1 percent, Gov. Ron DeSantis came in second place, over 13 points behind Trump, with 21.8 percent, and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley came in third place with a minor 16.4 percent.”
When the republican debates start I can picture the lineup on stage. When asked a question about the economy, foreign affairs, the border, etc., he should just say “when I was president for 4 years, we did this or that and it worked. If I become president again, we’ll do more of that.”
What are the others going to say, “I’ll do what Trump did, but won’t send out mean tweets or be combative with the media”?

Typical loser comment. Where you come from is there an emperor or are there separate branches of Government? Why would Trump have suspected the heads of NIH/FDA departments of being bought frauds. In the middle of the crisis he discovered they were suspect and started to marginalize them.
Typical anti trump BS to claim that he was at fault when he did everything he could to protect our Nation & the American people. Did he know that the hospitals ignored the National Inspection ordered remediations and their cupboards were bare? Did he know that the our National medical emergency storehouse was emptied by BO, alias zero? He went with the team that was in place and targeted supply chain as a place where he could make a big impact. Was he elected as a physician?
It is ridiculous to think that he was supposed to check on the competence of medical & science staff who had awards, commendations etc (all from corrupt allies). That is not the president’s job, it is the scientific community and the journalists responsibility which they totally neglected. As Trump became aware that Fauci & Scarf Lady contradicted themselves and were illogical Trump started to marginalize them and brought in new people. That could not have happened overnight especially since Trump did not have medical or scientific training.
Where is the blame that should be placed on the corrupt and financially bought scientific establishment who not only allowed the shoddy work done by Gv’t health but bellied up to the bar sniffing for scraps and kept dark the criminal negligence and malfeasance of these agencies. What is your master plan that would have worked to completely clean those dirty stables in the middle of the pandemic w/o panicking the American people.
You are part of the problem when you allow political bias to blind you to reality and try and stampede people in a direction that ignores the real issues & scapegoats someone who is not to blame and who did more than anyone else when handed an impossible task.
I don’t want a female president, a black president, an asian president, a gay president etc. I want a fighter who loves our Country. I want Trump. Anyone who runs on their membership in some group is automatically a loser.
There are no women considering running who are remotely qualified by experience or character to be President.
The Don also lost bigly in 2022 WI gov race.
And, yes, Trump-damaged WI is home of the first R primary debate in 24.

There are no (official) Democrats in the primary.
