Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced that he will run for the post of Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance.
Quote: "Heading NATO? That's a great idea. You know, it is a very good idea. I want to emphasize, dear friends, that I have this idea, and let no one forget that there is a candidate [for NATO Secretary General] on the line. This time, I think I will be lucky," Johnson said.
Details: He recalled that former Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi suggested that a representative of the European Union should be appointed as the next NATO Secretary General.
"I completely disagree with him. I think there are other candidates outside the European Union. It doesn't have to be the EU. I certainly consider myself a candidate. It is a good and important position," the former British prime minister added.
Johnson stressed that NATO is "stronger than ever" and will soon be joined by new members Sweden and Finland.
"And we see quite clearly that Ukrainian membership is a prospect. It has to happen, it is obvious. Putin has debunked all the arguments against Ukraine's accession to NATO. Now they are gone," he summarized.

When I look at Boris, I see a British bastard that stabbed Trump in the back. I see someone that rolls around in innocent blood, driving Europe into WWIII. I see someone that interferes with every peace effort Russia tries to make with Ukraine. Soon as it pokes it’s head above the horizon, Boris hops on a plane, shovels cash at Zelinsky, and urns on the meatgrinder to churn up tens of thousands of Ukrainians.
Being British, Boris Johnson understands the position of the Ukrainians which is remindful of the fact that Britain once had to fight a war to defend itself from being conquered by a foreign adversary with the aid of material support from outside. That is one of the reasons why there is a great deal of empathy for the Ukrainians. Britons would be hypocrites to advocate appeasement and surrender.
Boris is Britain’s George HW Bush, a neocon clown, is very capable of getting the West involved in WWIII or nuclear war.
He’s auditioning for NATO Secretary General. He’s just as responsible as anyone for driving Western civilization off this cliff. I guess it pays well.
