The greatest shame is that the US security state (State Dept./CIA NEOCONs) snuffed out a nascient legitimacy attaching to valid, internationally observed elections in an area where this is a foreign concept.

They did exactly what you denounce about Nuland - they did it on their Russian side against Ukraine, and worse : they even invaded and ANNEXED parts of Ukraine soon thereafter!
Ukrainians can rigg or not rigg their elections, it’s their problem. What is not ok though is that Russia ANNEXE parts of a sovereign country that isn’t theirs. Russia must stop raping other nations.
