They’re “warning” her? That’s exactly her plan.

Obama wanted to destroy the suburbs. The Democrats are just hitting the checklist of the long term destruction plan.

It used to be the norm for a neighborhood to be trashed in about 40 years.

There was Greenwich Avenue, St. Johns’s Park, Bleeker Street, Bond Street & Lafayette Place, Greenwich Village(once an Italian immigrant slum, revived), Union Square, Fifth Avenue (mostly commercialized as industrialization was fought by introducing zoning), Chelsea (townhouses split into apartments), Upper West Side (a slum by 1960, since revived), the Upper East Side (prime since about 1900 due to air rights-based protection), Park Avenue South (mainly changed to commercial), Park Avenue North (rebuilt circa 1913, and lower parts commercialized) and Harlem (failed development, rented to “respectable colored families only” for a time).

This is a very common sentiment here on Free Republic.

These threads are full of people critical of Republicans, saying they will not vote for certain Republican candidates.

I wonder if Lee Zeldin was too liberal to suit New York conservative Republican voters.

I’m pretty sure the majority of Long Island didn’t vote for her. It went, almost, all Republican in both counties.

Nassau had a Democrat County Chairwoman that was very well liked, but she got bounced as well.

Crime is rampant in both counties. They have car theft crews coming from the city and NJ, stealing cars all over the place.

Only about 5 or 6 areas, and the outright fraud in them, make people like Hochul and Cuomo possible.

I think it was Cuomo that allowed illegals to get licenses and the records regarding them would be purged so no one could find out anything about them.

My friend Don lives in DC in a fairly new building with “affordable” units, of which he has one.

He wants out after a number of incidents.

Yep, just had one yesterday who said “Trump or no one”. I, too, love Trump, and will vote for him in the Primary (since he was cheated out of a second term), but I’ll also vote for anyone else who is the Republican.

My mother paid $42,000 for the house I live in and the lot it is on back in 1978.

That’s about $7,000/year of residence adjusted for inflation.

We’ve got this crap in California where EVERY town must have a “housing element” in their plan submitted to the state and EVERY town must have their “fair share” of “affordable housing.” This is even true in towns where the average price is over $5 million. It it utterly insane.

Those bastards don’t want anybody to have a nice place to live. Nobody should be better off than anybody else (excel the stinking pols).

EQUITY, baby! Yeah!

Houses will simply get cut up into apartments.

It used to happen all the time.

Much of the housing in these suburbs is often of poor quality inside since high taxes have made it impossible for many owners to afford improvements.

The younger rich will not buy or continue to live in the state and the older rich will stay until they die, then their house will be split into apartments.

They are all like this. Even new nice looking buildings. They took the peoepl from the projects and put them in with market rate housing renters and viola—better looking crime ridden buildings. The market rate people all want out b/c of the danger from crime.

There is also the Rangel method. He got a price-controlled NYC unit and his wife got another such unit. Together they had twice the living space as most of their infuriated comrades.

And so the lefty mind goes on. Retain people in New York by driving more people out. To what? Build affordable housing to house welfare recipients who will drive the tax payors out. Or to house people who can’t afford to live in NY no matter what because the other costs (income taxes, food, commuting costs, etc. are too high.

"Elections have consequences."

STOLEN elections have consequences.

It's amazing how many FReepers STILL can't shake their normalcy bias, believing we STILL have honest and fair elections in this country.

It's darn-near ALL rigged now, people. ANY election that matters, is STOLEN and this is no longer a conspiracy theory.
