I’m very skeptical about that number as well be we have a very gullible population that can be easily misled, so 46% may only be a slight exaggeration.
Look at all the sophomoric and ridiculous advertisements that we are bombarded with every day. They are mostly inane and absurd but the advertisers wouldn’t run them if they didn’t work. Evidently you can fool most of the people most of the time.
Our country has been dumbed down to the point where most people will believe anything they’re told no matter how illogical or stupid it is.
