Look, if we allow what they did to Trump to go unanswered, I guarantee you that this nation will fall. It's very close to doing that now. DeSantis should work with Trump, and not run against him. DeSantis would gain so much more if he did. He will just lose support if he continues down the path he is currently on.
Even strong conservatives make mistakes. So either you or I am making a mistake. I know what I am supporting, are you positive you really know what you are supporting? I've seen the sincerity of Trump, who took on this task not for his personal enrichment, in fact it has cost him dearly. In my eyes, DeSantis is trying to capitalize on his accomplishments on a vastly smaller scale, and I applaud him on his accomplishments, but he will be elevated to a much larger stage, that he is not yet ready for. Grasshopper needs to allow the master take on the heavy fight and then take over.
Except the grasshopper has been showing Trump how to ACTUALLY fight.
On the election, DeSantis took actions that helped secure Florida’s elections, while Trump holds rallies where he tells people we have to “outvote the cheating.”
On the vaccines, DeSantis empaneled a grand jury to investigate the lies, while Trump says your “gutless” if you don’t get your boosters.
On social issues DeSantis took away Disney’s tax free status while Trump threw gay parties at his resorts.
On illegal immigration DeSantis actually shipped illegals to Martha’s Vineyard which the Trump clan actually cried foul about.
The supposed master has been schooled.
Pretty sure he bashed him in every speech he gave in 2020 ,just checking the transcripts for 3 of them. He bashes everyone he considers a threat. Trump had his record to talk about and an inept Joe Biden as his opponent hiding in his basement. Maybe thats why he wasnt more over the top in hammering Biden, but its clear he doesnt discriminate.

That's exactly what Ron needs to do. He also has the authority to do that as Governor, but only because he has a legislature that that enables him to do so as well. Trump got more votes than did DeSantis. An inconvenient fact you keep ignoring.

That is untrue. What Trump said was politicians who refuse to say if they got the booster, are gutless.
But you are also implying that Trump did nothing about the "vaccines", which of course were not made available until after the 2020 election had completed. What Trump also did was to make the "vaccines" EuA (Emergency Use Authorization) only.
They had blocked the usage of Hydroxychloroquine or Ivermectin as treatments. Furthermore, they stated only "vaccines" will make it possible to reopen the country for a return to normal. While most red states did reopen their states, Florida included, after Trump rescinded the lockdowns, many of the blue states continued the lockdowns to destroy the economy to use as a weapon against Trump in the 2020 election cycle. Trump worked within the Constitutional constraints, because he is a dictator or an authoritarian.

Yeah, and he should cry foul too, because that solved nothing and only moved the illegal invaders into the interior of the country. Did DeSantis' move lessen the illegal invasion one iota? While it may have been entertaining to watch the liberal leaders complain, it was nothing more than a stunt, and again he only followed Abbott's gimmick. So, it wasn't even an original thought from DeSantis at all.

You could be right. But I’m not sure that all of the Republicans/independents who bolted from the GOP because of Trump are going to return to the fold. I also think the number of Democrats is more likely to go up.
For years the Democrats screeched about Republicans overturning Roe. That threat happened so often for so long that it lost its potency. But now, Roe has been overturned. That was, IMO, the largest factor in 2022. The threat finally came home. Now there’s Rick Scott and Mike Lee talking about sunsetting Social Security. Again, the Democrats have been screeching about that for years, but in the wake of Dobbs, a lot of people are going to take that threat more seriously than they have in the last 10-15 years. I don’t think the Republican Culture Warriors are going to attract enough people to offset the loss of independent and swing voters.
Trump got Mexico to agree to remain in Mexico. Of the two, Trump did more, and Trump built a wall as well. Had the Republican RINOs had helped him, he would have finished it.
So, I'm not impressed by the lame strawman argument you chose as a comeback.
