You need to evaluate them in the same time period. Carter during 2000-2008 was a lot more liberal than Carter during 1976-1980.

George Bush was asked how successful was his Presidency.

He arrogantly replied, “Ask me in 30 years”

Unfortunately , we don't have to wait that long. The verdict of history has come in quite a bit sooner.

He was a decent custodian of the presidency while in office but he was a total disaster from a long term strategic perspective.

All the wheels he set in motion have fallen off the bus.

His failure to secure the American military's stunning victory for lasting peace in the Middle East and Afghanistan seized defeat from jaws of victory in one of the most amazing self inflicted failures in recorded history. All he accomplished in the WOT was bleeding our troops and grinding down our military to leave the world a much worse place then he found it

He started the disastrous border policies that are not flooding the country with illegal aliens

His flat , willful refusal to fight back against the slanders of Pelosi and the Democrats to support his agenda gave us Barak Obama and a corrupted government and political system that be the end to America as we knew it.

He will go down in history as one of the most negatively consequential and damaging Presidents in American history. That's his legacy and I never want to hear from that goofy POS again.
