If Pakistan was quickly able to construct nuclear weapons after India had them, does anyone really believe that Iran is not capable of doing so? Their main problem is that Israel would view such a nuclear armed mullah regime as an actual, huge threat to the Jewish people and would promptly take definitive action
That's the real question, isn't it? Pakistan transferred their nuke capacity in toto to the Norks in the span of a decade nearly 20 years ago, how is it Iran doesn't have a nuke in all this time?
"Their main problem is that Israel would view such a nuclear armed mullah regime as an actual, huge threat to the Jewish people and would promptly take definitive action"
And that is exactly why Iran hasn't assembled a nuke. Yet.
So the real question is, how fast could Iran assemble their nuke, and what is their delivery vehicle?
India tested in 1974, IIRC, for “civilian” uses.
