Special Counsel John Durham, leading a multi-year probe of how U.S. intelligence officials conducted the Russia investigation, has yet to issue his final report. But according to the New York Times, Durham has already come up empty.

But, but - the picture of him that we always see makes him look so serious and dangerous. A man who looks like that will surely come up with something. /sarc
“If it had failed, they wouldn’t be paying attention to it.”
Very good point.
Well, the New York Times is not wrong on this one.
I bet they never wrote that about the Russian Dossier/Mueller investigation.
If Durham fails then it is because he was designed to fail.

Durham doesn’t exist.
Prove me wrong.

He exists right between Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster. Mythical magic.
My thought too. I think the NYT probably has inside info and another investigation takes the dive.
Yesterday’s news, yawn.
Of course it would fail he can’t bring ANYTHING before a DC jury because they are all MARXISTS too, 99% work for the government!! Durham could give them a video of them murdering someone and the damn jury would STILL come back NOT GUILTY!! Why in the hell should he continue to put his reputation on the line!! After a STELLAR career he will be labeled a LOSER!! NO THANKS if I were him!!
Exactly
And now he answers to the corrupt Garland. So no surprise if nothing comes of his “investigation”.
NYT put out this kind of disinformation just before 2020 election, reporting extensively one of his lead investigators and longtime colleague,a womqn whose name I don’t recall, resigned because Durham was going to go political with some kind of legal proceeding just prior tp the election. Their base readership is stupid enough that they accept everything that the echo chamber spews, so they do it just to keep their readership in the dark.
NYT won’t be investigated for Dirty Hunter Biden cover up..any time soon.
Durham did exactly what he was supposed to do.
Whitewash the whole conspiracy and absolve the FBI of their treason.
Maybe the weaponization committee will get them.
While true, he also didn’t charge anyone with the FBI itself. His cases against those he did bring charges against had the flaw that he was trying to prove that the lies mattered to the FBI when it was clear the FBI was going to do whatever it wanted and just used the lies as fig leafs for their misbehavior.
Absolutely. Torturing reality to prevent admitting the DoJ/FBI was a willing participant likely made any sentient jurors view the whole proceeding as dishonest, and gave them an excuse to acquit. The optimist in me interprets Durham as attempting a stepping stone strategy eventually to reach the government insiders and expose the whole operation. The realist sees him as a peripheral insider intent on running out the clock and “preserving the institution” in all its corrupt glory. He likes oozing out some dirt, but doesn’t want to crash the house of cards.
They have to make it look like they really investigated it.
Most importantly waste time and then conclude with basically they wasted our time and money.
