Confirming next week's planned trip to East Palestine, Ohio, former President Donald Trump took a bow for motivating the Biden administration into action on responding to the toxic fallout from the train derailment earlier this month.
"Biden and FEMA said they would not be sending federal aid to East Palestine," Trump wrote on Truth Social on Saturday morning, a statement also posted to his campaign website.
"As soon as I announced that I'm going, he announced a team will go. Hopefully he will also be there. This is good news because we got them to 'move.' The people of East Palestine need help. I'll see you on Wednesday!"
After initially denying it, as Trump noted above, President Joe Biden has now offered federal assistance to Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency has been coordinating with the state emergency operations center and other partners, the White House said Friday.
The Biden administration defended its response Friday to the toxic freight train derailment in Ohio two weeks ago, even as local leaders and members of Congress demanded more be done.

This is all about punishing MAGA, even though Palestine has a pretty even split of R and D voters.
Locals are saying that the area went big for Trump, though.
Biden is a vindictive scumbag who wanted to punish Ohio. He or the committee realized the optics of Trump coming there would hurt them so they were forced to send some aid. In other words Biden was fine with thousands of people suffering until he found out Trump was going there.
I read Trump got 70% of the vote iirc.
The same happened with the shooting down the Chinese spy balloon. As soon as President Trump posted “shoot it down” the Biden admin took action and started lying about balloons during the Trump administration and then shot down the balloon although after it completed its mission over the USA.
Trump won the county 72% to 27%

Sorry Trump. FEMA already had this in the works. The publicity was so bad that Biden’s stooges had to do something.
I hope Trump will still be going to that city. They need all the publicity they can get. Trump may want to limit his time in the open air once he arrives.

Columbiana County, Ohio, is more than 93% white and largely conservative. Some 72% of residents cast their ballots for President Donald Trump in the 2020 election cycle, according to data from the Columbiana County Board of Elections.
