Nearly two decades ago, I once met Ann in person. I actually found her charming and entertaining. She reminded me of affable sorority girls I knew in college, as she pontificated on the issues of the day while chain-smoking Marlboro Lights and sipping cocktails.
But, wow. I don’t know what to say when I read this diatribe. I’m in no way a fan nor a supporter of Nikki Haley but this attack upon her is tasteless and indefensible. It’s just a tired cliche to say that someone “jumped the shark,” but if it ever applied to anyone, I’m afraid that it would apply to Ann C.
Ann is a “racist.” Oh, no! In other news, Coulter is brilliant and some of her books are excellent, especially Demonic (2011) and Treason (2003). She easily finds the best way to solve a mess of problems.

I just listened to the Coulter segment on The Mark Simone Show.
First impression - if that really was Ann Coulter, her voice, her speech patterns, and her intellectual fluency have completely changed. I would never guess that was Coulter on the phone with Mark Simone.
Second impression - pulled out of context and without vocal nuance, most of the Coulter quotes sound much more incendiary in the news article than they actually sound during the taped interview.
Third impression - if that really is Ann Coulter on the phone, then Coulter was drunk, or stoned, or cognitively impaired.

I believe Coulter’s bitterness comes from never having the normal pleasures of marriage and motherhood. She is at the point of no return when her attractiveness will dwindle and her attitude will become more bitter. She will acquire the negative qualities of a spinster.
