The state of Pennsylvania requires anyone working with children at any level, paid, volunteer, church, even contractors who are repairing toilets in a school to undergo a state and federal background check (at their own expense if they’ve lived in the state less than ten years)

They presume guilt by calling it the “Child Abuse Registry.”

They are the only state with these onerous requirements. I volunteer with an organization that has our own background checks done on every volunteer along with youth protection training.

We are active in all 50 states. Our background check cost is as much as 10 times more expensive in Pennsylvania.

Yet, they not only allow but actually employ literal child abusers in their government.

What a bunch of money grubbing hypocrites.
