You underestimate the stupid in the current police culture.
I thought having a police force that "looks like the community" was going to be the panacea to improve police / community relations and to "protect" all those YBM's from "brutality"?
Turns out, when you lower the standards and hire individuals who have no impulse control nor the temperament to become police officers, these tragic events will occur. Unfortunately, no one who is truly qualified to be a police officer wants the job, especially in high-crime urban hellholes like Memphis.
Yes, but again these spoiled-rotten bastards in “the THUGcommunity” look like fools too, when ALL the police are black. “Crispy black”, as one of my friends from the ‘hood used to say in the old days. IOW, they won’t pass for white at all.
Trust me, just this week I was in another fight on YouTube with an ass of the thug community who disparaged me for not seeing the “systemic” racism everywhere….
BTW, epremind these fools that you bet they never used or knew the word “systemic” until it became popular in the Riots.
The rumor is one of the policeman’s ex and baby mama worked at FedEx with Tyre. Then she and Tyre had a romantic relationship of some sort.
So at least one of them was on the lookout for Tyre’s car and when it was found they pulled him over.
Could it have been first degree murder then? IDK. But hitting someone on the head with a metal baton certainly could cause death, that’s common knowledge.
Currently this is speculation. We will see if this comes out in trial.
‘A country where black people are 7.5 times more likely to be wrongfully convicted of murder than white people.’
I dont know the real number but they are probably 10 times more likely to get away with murder.
“We din do nuffin!”
I’ve seen the video with multiple angles from multiple cameras. What I saw was an armed gang beating a man and then actively denying him medical treatment until he died.
Those cops told their side of the story in their reports. And it was all BS.

Police report
A police report was written two hours after Nichols was beaten.[43] The police report claims that in the first encounter, Nichols was irate and sweating profusely when he left his vehicle, refused to be detained, with pepper spray and a Taser stun gun ineffective on Nichols.[44]
For the second encounter between Nichols and police, the report claims that Nichols resisted arrest by grabbing an officer’s duty belt and another officer’s vest, ignored their orders, leading to officers using pepper spray and striking Nichols with a baton; Nichols was eventually taken into custody after “several verbal” commands.[43]
The released videos did not corroborate the police report’s claim that Nichols “started to fight” with officers, or even that he had been violent at all.[44][45] The released videos also did not corroborate the officers’ claim that Nichols reached for their weapons.[46]
Seth Stoughton, a law professor and use-of-force expert, noted that an officer typically shouts it out immediately if they see a suspect reach for a weapon, and none did so in the videos of their struggles with Nichols.[47] The initial police report did not state that officers had punched and kicked Nichols.[44]
KWAM, the local talk radio station in Memphis, had a segment on with Tyre’s mother and their family’s attorney.
They will have a civil rights lawsuit separate from the criminal trial.
The family attorney stated they have all the text messages, witness interviews, etc. Tyre was NOT having an affair with anyone associated with the officers.
Really there is no reason as to why the attorney would not be telling the truth.
Well apparently the cops thought he was, and if he wasn’t that makes it even worse.
Wow. We actually agree on something.

I like you 235% more now! Have a nice weekend!

There’s still the jury pool to consider. It’ll probably be impossible to seat people without knowledge of the case.
