BTW, there is at least one major US oil company that is injecting CO2 for secondary recovery here in the oil patch. They actually have drilled CO2 production wells in NE New Mexico and pipe the CO2 for oil recovery.

There are some African lakes saturated with CO2. The saturated water goes to the bottom of the lake, but occasionally the lake turns over, that saturated water goes to the surface, releases its CO2 and kills nearby villagers.
