These objects are not new. They've been around a long time, at least since 2017 ("last week we were told 2019").

I don’t think he knows very much—you and I probably know a lot more than he does.
The last couple of nights I have been pretty restless and for the first time in my life I experienced the real, soul deep fear that a world encompassing disaster was near and will happen soon. I have no proof but the feeling was real and my prayers to the Lord were many. Stay safe everyone.
He jokes a lot when interviewed but in my opinion he is almost always spot on.
He's very good, very bright. He just uses country bumpkin mannerisms because they come naturally to him, and it really disarms his opponents.
If he is confounded, I am in good company.

What mesmerized me was his comment about locking your doors. He wasn’t smiling and he repeated it.

I think senators and congressmen took note when that article came out in 2017. And then there was another NY Times article on the same subject in 2019 by the same authors.(‘Wow, What Is That?’ Navy Pilots Report Unexplained Flying Objects).
I don't know if that's what he (Kennedy) meant, but, when I heard both dates, it lit a fire in my brain.
IIRC, these 2 articles were the impetus for the call for Pentagon transparency by the Intelligence Committees.
