Do as we say or lose money? Sounds a bit like extortion.
Sounds a bit like a former VP threatening foreign aid to a country if they didn't do what he asked.
But, I'm taking bets that these "building projects" will be built in areas that have a strong Republican voting base. Outside 8-10 counties in NY, to include 4 of the NYC burroughs, NY is a pretty Republican state. It's the big cities that dominate the voting in the state. If I'm not mistaken, most of the seat held on Long Island, Nassau & Suffoulk counties, went to Republicans. And Nassau had a Democrat as the County Executive who was very well liked by folks on both sides. Especially when it came to letting the cops do their jobs, but she was bounced out, too.
None will be built in the Chappaqua, Bedford Hills, Old Brookville, or all the more affluent WHITER THAN WHITE towns in SW Connecticut.

I wonder if suburban housewives, the ones that voted for Biden over Trump, are about to have buyers remorse?

Spreading crime everywhere.
I will shoot to kill anyone who breaks into my house or attempts to steal my car from my driveway

They want to turn the suburbs into war zones like the concrete jungles that the dems already have an iron grip on. Flooding the suburbs with blacks is essentially ethnic cleansing.

If builders want to build high rises and towns want to regulate zoning I have no problem with it, BUT if the govt is building and/or requiring “affordable housing” it will not turn out well.

“high-rise apartment buildings with “affordable” units”
Sure is a fancy way to say future crime ridden ghetto.

All about control. Progressives have read studies showing denser populations are more prone to support progressive policies.

It is extortion to the nth degree.
"We the People" know the last election was stolen since the Giant Sixth Grade POTUS that we currently have is a lost cause.
He looked as if he were lost all the time so who in the world is calling the shots.
Obama can not run again, but in the background I think he is calling the shots.

I lived in one of those “Tranquil suburban” neighborhoods as a kid. (late 1950s) Then they built “The Projects” half a block from our house. We moved about a year later out to the San Gabriel Valley. I joined the army in ‘66 and have not lived in CA since.
Maywood California. What’s it like now?

People worked hard to be able to move to the more peaceful and pretty suburbs. It wasn’t always easy because it likely increased their commute to work. I’ve heard of some ridiculous commute times in order for the children to grow up in a nice neighborhood. But Biden wants to bring the urban problems to the suburbs.

If I'm not mistaken, most of the seat held on Long Island, Nassau & Suffoulk counties, went to Republicans. Peter King (R) held the north shore Nassau County seat for 20 years.
A Democrat took the seat after King retired, and George Santos just won the seat back.

It’s funny you mention NY. Last spring I was driving south through Sullivan county on Rt. 97 and saw three buses headed north. These things looked brand new, perfectly clean, had tinted out windows, and the lettering had been turned off at the top of the first two. The third was still lit up and read “American Dream.”
That can’t be good.

This is straight from the wicked heart of Obama. He began to implement this very strategy late in his second term. The idea was/is to destroy conservative pockets in America.
There is no doubt the evil Democrats are working feverishly to divide Americans and balkanize us. Black anthem, anyone?

I know an ocean front spot in Rehoboth Beach Delaware just aching for a high rise public housing project. Negros in Wilmington Delaware and Washington DC need ocean front living too.

Anyone ever heard of the concept of “15 minute Cities”? If you know who came up with that concept, you’ll know exactly why Biden is pushing it.

These Fedgov/State socialists have lost their minds. Are they unaware of what the illegals are doing to free housing in the upscale hotels in NYC? >p>I'm now convinced this IS a conspiracy to degrade or destroy the fabric of our Republic and other workable civilizations. My question is why? I don't believe it's for more Democrat voters. I'm tending towards Bush's NEW WORLD ORDER where our Rock is controlled by the elite few.
Why can't they see how bad that can turn out for even them? History is replete with these totalitarians getting their just dues. What power do they have to avoid such? Don't tell me nukes. No one is untouchable as nuclear proliferation grows. There will come a time when some generals say enough.
Or there will come a time when the Swamp Rats risk all.
