Republican Rubio tweeted: 'The last 72 hours revealed to the public what was happening for years, unidentified aircraft routinely operating over restricted US airspace.
'This is why I pushed to take this seriously and created a permanent UAP (unidentified aerial phenomena - equivalent to UFOs) task force two years ago.'
Rubio is the Vice Chairman of the US Senate's Select Committee on Intelligence and has long pushed for a 'destigmatization' on UFO reporting.

VanHerck said that, unlike the Chinese spy balloon, all three UFOs gunned down over the weekend were of a similar size and speed.
He added that the since the Chinese balloon was found in late January, the US adjusted its radar so it could track slower objects. He explained that this radar adjustment, plus the heightened state of alert following the Chinese balloon, explains the frequency of UFO sightings.
'With some adjustments, we've been able to get a better categorization of radar tracks now,' he said, 'and that's why I think you're seeing these, plus there's a heightened alert to look for this information.'
VanMerck said the air force is still unsure how the three objects were staying aloft, as they currently have unknown propulsion systems. He added: 'We're calling them objects, not balloons, for a reason.'

Isn't it illogical and premature to conclude the purpose is "distraction" until we know what the objects are?
The fact that some were able to temporarily position themselves over Malmstrom AFB (home of nuclear ICBMs) tends to point away from "distraction."
So what were they? Details please! What was their method of propulsion? of guidance? Explain “shooting down” in this context.

The scoffers will never entertain the thought of UFO’s being real. They could get daily alien anal probs and would claim it was the heart break of psoriasis that is causing their pain.
There are too many credible reports throughout human history to arbitrarily dismiss UFO’s are not real. Now are they alien, demon, fallen angel who knows. I speculate they have been here since the beginning and are more inter-dimensional than coming from another galaxy or solar system and I think the Old Testament tells us a lot about these things.
Do I think we could shoot one down, sure, by fluke or a lucky shot or we use some new technology that screws with their crafts operations. IF-IF we are indeed shooting them down then I would expect retaliation with military and civilian aircraft being downed by them.
Do I think that the Air Force is shooting down aliens, no. Probably some of our own stuff or an enemies and this is done to try and restore some semblance of faith in the US military after the Afghanistan and last weeks balloon humiliations. I think this is a big psyops operation to restore faith in the military, in BiteMe as CNC and to see how the aliens are coming line plays with the public.
