We hear speak of this “youth in Asia”. What about the old people in Asia? Don’t they deserve a little respect and even some degree of adulation?

Just because some government wants to welch on paying out old-age pensions, does not justify prematurely destroying the institutional memory that older people have, a sort of check on history that would otherwise fade much too rapidly.
