Russia is suffering its highest daily casualty rate in Ukraine since the start of the war, according to UK officials.
Vladimir Putin’s forces are losing 824 troops a day as the first anniversary of the start of the conflict approaches, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) believes.
In the first week of the war, Moscow was suffering an average of 1,140 casualties a day, figures compiled by the general staff of the Ukraine army suggested.
That dropped to 173 a day last July, but has been climbing steadily since then.
In their latest intelligence update on the war, the MoD said: “Over the past two weeks, Russia has likely suffered its highest rate of casualties since the first week of the invasion of Ukraine.
“The Ukrainian general staff release daily statistics on Russian casualties. Although defence intelligence cannot verify Ukraine’s methodology, the trends the data illustrate are likely accurate.
“The mean average for the last seven days was 824 casualties per day, over four times the rate reported over June-July 2022. Ukraine also continues to suffer a high attrition rate.
“The uptick in Russian casualties is likely due to a range of factors including lack of trained personnel, coordination, and resources across the front – this is exemplified in Vuhledar and Bakhmut.”

I am sure there are other American Firsters who will support this resolution. This has nothing to do with Putin. The US is the world’s largest debtor nation. The Ukrainian Army has not defeated the Russians in a set piece battle since the start of Russia’s Special Military Operation. Urkaine, with the full help of NATO, was unable to mount an offensive to rescue its trapped forces in Mariupol. A similar catastrophe for Ukraine is unfolding right now in Donetsk along the defense line that stretches from Bakhmut to Seversk in the north.

They ignore Russia’s unequaled natural resources (which gives it self-suffiency not enjoyed by any of the other major powers); its robust, technologically sophisticated industrial base (Russia produces viable space rockets, the United States does not); and its deeply rooted sense of national identity. They also do not grasp the devastating tactics the Russians are methodically executing on the battlefield — the Ukrainian Army and equipment are being mauled and the West has emptied its military stores and is in no condition to provide replacements any time soon.

That article does not have what you claim was said
There are reports on those numbers and they are high.
Not as hugh as the Russian, because Russia is following human wave tactics especially with their Wagner convicts.
But still high.
The difference is that the Ukrainians want to keep fighting as Putin’s hordes have invaded their homes.
