Surface winds and winds aloft are totally different things. Lots of times I’ve seen calm winds on the surface yet stratocumulus ripping by at 20,000 feet.

Yeah, Im aware. I just wasnt hanging out at 30,000 ft last night. My balloon is on the fritz.
