Walking through Walmart yesterday, I was looking at all the big advertising posters all over the store. Naturally you see every race, every nationality, every shade of skin under the sun...except white people. You’d think the country has a small minority of 5% white people.

We pale people are 57% of the population, so agree these ads are odd, especially in a neighborhood full of pale people. Kinda reminds me of all the AIDS medicine ads that I see when not streaming commercial free - why are they targeting me?

A study probably thirty years ago, maybe older, showed whites will respond positively to ads that don’t present them whereas blacks in particular favor ads where they see other blacks.

At this point advertising isn’t demographically representative. They only care about younger consumers anyway.
