Another glowing report — this time from Yahoo.

Seems like you DS DeSantis fans are in good company

He’s 2024’s Ted Cruz if he runs. Once he gets run over by Trump in the primaries, his Presidential aspirations will be over.

Here we go again.

Okay my FRiends,

We are all on the same team, we are Conservatives.

We have the same ultimate goal, the WH in 2024.

Our only quibble is ... who will be our quarterback.

I have no "bromance" with any contender. Neither should any of us.

Speeches are good things. Debates are good things. Primaries are good things.

Two books that are on my reading list are...

1. The courage to be free, by Ron DeSantis, and...

2. Never Give an Inch: Fighting for the America I Love, by Mike Pompeo. (I have it, I just need to finish D-Day by Steven Ambrose, almost there.)

My point?

I have much to learn before I cast my 2024 primary vote. Currently I'm inclined toward DeSantis. That could change, we have some interesting times ahead of us. Let's pick the Conservative candidate with the best chance of winning the general. I do not know who this is, we have over a year to sort this out. We have options and alternatives. (DeSantis, Pompeo, Trump, ?)

It won't be settled here on FR. Our Nom will be the result of the long year+ ahead of us.

We are all on the same team, we are in the process of selecting our quarterback. I'll vote (early) for whomever wins the Nom.

If he waited until 2028 he would have been a shoo-in. He will lose to Trump in 2024 and that will be the end of his presidential aspirations.

Sounds like a plan the Democrats would come up with.

I read this and it seems Yahoo very much admires DeSantis. Quite a change compared to how the lying deep state press attacked Trump from day one. But this is such a fine oiled machine...Most interesting.

Behind the scenes, DeSantis and his tight-knit team of advisers are interviewing national consultants to work on a presidential campaign.

From Yahoo. That’s the place will thousands of layoffs. A survivor wrote this piece, then.

Feb.9, 2023
Yahoo will lay off more than 20% of staff, or around 1,600 workers, with the company’s Yahoo for Business unit being slashed in half.
The company said about 1,000 of those cuts would occur by the end of the week.

So he just got sworn in as Governor again and now he’s announcing he’s running for Pres.? If I were a Floridian who voted for him for Gov. I would be pretty mad. How will he govern if he is busy running?

Why are all these people wasting their time?

Donald Trump dispatched 13 (I think) last time. Why would this be any different?

Trump or DeSantis would be a massive improvement over the traitorous Democratic party. Prefer DeSantis, but would be overjoyed with either man in the oval office in January 2025.

Running in 2024 would be the stupidest thing DeSantis could do. He is not trusted by the Northern working class like Trump is. He’s not going to be able to get those voters to come out for him. Even if he wins the nomination over Trump (which I don’t see how he would), a lot of Trump supporters will be pissed and won’t vote for him.

The best thing he can do by far is not run until 2028. Even better would be to serve as Trump’s VP and inherit the MAGA movement.

Unfortunately for DeSantis...post Trump, the scales have fallen. Even Trump is triangulating abortion. Not voting for anyone but Ben Carson.
